ogura supercharger. positive displacement. here's a pic of one of em, im sure flywheel was talkin bout this picture...

there's a site that sells the ogura supercharger, they have said that somebody has put two of those ogura superchargers on an rb26, tho i dont know if it is true. this pic has one.

so about that engine.... I see the supercharger and the pipe going from the supercharger to the rest of the pre-intercooler stuff. I have a few questions.

Doesn't that seem like kind of a sharp bend for that air to be making coming from out of the supercharger? (the 90 degree one)
and also.... where does the air go into that supercharger? In the back of it? I don't see any intake and It doesn't seem like that thing can breath too well.

Most Mustang put out well over 500hp with a 90* bend from there VORTECHs.

Like I said that engine will not work.

In reply to your question/statement I think many cars are bastardized. This becomes a personal opinion though. While I've always made it clear I've never been a fan of honda's with the exception of the NSX, they seem to cop it worse than any other model. Of course as should really mention is I'm not into showy bling bling for a road car either or performance car. Actually I'm not into show cars period as I "personally" think they are a pure waste of money.
To sumize it better I would rather have an ICBM than vase of roses for a cock

As far as the Skyline being over hyped well that would have been covered quite well, and YES they are. In saying that though it depends on how you look at it and how the "in question statement" is provided. Overhyped by those who don't know isn't the biggest problem, cracked on by those who don't is.

Either way I love my car and its heiritage.

I agree with you RazorGTR. I dont like show car (they kinda make imports look bad). Yea, to me i like the rugedness of cars, like the drifters of japan.

Honestly the only cars that are really blown out of proportion are Ferrari now a days there just not the same

. I mean dont get me wrong there great cars but the enzo isn't the best ferrari as far as that goes. On another note "MOVIES" are what make cars blown out of proportion aka basterdised. So many car have be blown out of proportion of the years Fast and Furious, 2F2F and of course james bond movies (ETC) even though there awsome. All I can say is CARS dont blow themselves out of proportion its the movies fault.

I also think lil Slim was tryin to say is the skyline over shadows alot of other cars (imports). Worst over shadowment is is ferrari stratedale over a Noble M12 GTO.

It is soooooooooo true on how hollywood can and does over dramatize a particular model. Fast and Furious is only the latest but one only has to look at previous movies and or series to see it. Take "The Dukes of Hazard" as example. The Charger was the talk for years. In all honesty the Charger is a good car but hardly Dodge's top car when compared to the Challanger, and GTX.

I wouldn't say it is all hollywood's fault though as it takes gullable people to belive what they see as "gosple" or truth.

There will also always be those who like to compare this model against that model. Again that is human nature, to express themselves and their opinions and thoughts.

As far as experts go though, there are hardly any "experts" in the States on JDM cars. Oh there will be the self proclaimed, such as MotoRex, RBMotoring but in all honesty how many years have they spent with these cars as compared to those who have since the inception of each model. One only has to look at the top tuners and modifiers in Japan such as HKS, Top Secret, Mines, Veilside, Jun, Signal, etc to look for the real experts. I happen to be very lucky and know personally the owner of ST-HITEC, who worked for Nissan Japan for years, and also spent quite a bit of time with Top Secret and HKS while in Japan. He's brilliant and easy to talk to and has a wealth knowledge and information to share.
