willimo, I couldn't have said it better myself. Xav, in my own words I would like to say: Top Notch! Superb! Innovative! FUN. FUN. FUN. Unique! You are much more than a 'modeler'. You are a very gifted artisan and one hellava great teacher. The VW 'Bug' has always been one of my favorite cars and you are doing it so well. The work you have done on the trailer is out of this world. Thank you for the photos, the lessons, your time and effort. You are "The Master!" You have inspired me to 'build a better model' and to take my time. Thank you for that too! J. Barry |

Thanks guys for all your nice comments
I'm not a god or a Master Modeler (not yet), lots of modelers around here are more talented than me. But I always try to do my best and hope that one day I'll become a famous name in the little world of modeling. But I'm very happy that you all love it. I have more support here on Af than in my modeling club and I appreciate. Thanks a lot guys. @2cv: 1°) Evergreen products can be found in your local hobby shop or on every good web-shop like hlj.com , towerhobbies.com, ... 2°) When I began the chassis, I took all the pics I found on the net and did sketches and drawings on my computer. I printed it at 1/24 scale and only had to take the mesurements to cut my plastic profiles. Here is what I used to make the chassis: ![]() (not original size) I did the same for the other parts (wheel and 'coupling' )For the 'coupling', at the end of the plastic profile I glued the clear plastic part you can find on the pills tablets. You know, each pill is placed in a little hole made of clear plastic. So I used this part and glued it. I placed two photoetched bolts on each side, a thin strap of PE ( from the PE sprue ) around the round end; I also drilled a hole at the top, bended a wire and inserted it in the hole. I hope you understand my explanations. Here is a little drawing to help. ![]() Xav |

Er ... Well ... There are a few words I don't understand. Can you translate what you said to Dutch (if I remember right, you are from Belgium and I really hope you live in the Dutch-speaking part).

Re: Current project: Teardrop Trailer , complete scratch building (!!Long thread!!)
Sorry but I live in the french speaking part of Belgium. I speak a bit of flemish but not enough to translate everything in an understoodable way. So I've sent this post to a friend, Olivier (Bigfrit on AF) and I hope he will translate it soon.

Thank you very mutch Skiff ! Dankjewel ! I understand most of it now, but I don't know what a photoetched bolt is. Perhaps someone can help me (again)?
