ok... few weeks ago while working on my datsun....
i was changing blades and i guess the old blade fell to the floor...
i got up to go to the garage and paint some parts... when the blade that was in the ground sliced my foot open... it was a 3inch gash...
and the blade went in about an inch... so almust all the way..
hurt like a bitch to take it out..
and surprisingly i some how got all the way across the house and no blood dripped on my moms presius carpet...
then my dad didnt wanna take me to the hospital cuz he said our insurance doesnt covor "modeling accidents"
so he sew up my foot himself...
great experiance...
lol...

Re: Who has "battle scars" from this dangerous passtime?

i know its not a modeling accident, but it kind of realtes. when moving steel beams, try not to drop one on your finger, cuz the only way to get the blood out of your nail is to drill a hole in it.

Re: Who has "battle scars" from this dangerous passtime?

It was the other way around for me: my scars sort of caused me to start building a green model of a Citroën 2cv6. I have a little heart problem since I am born and approx. 1,5 years ago I was in the hospital for quite a while. I asked my parents to buy a model 2cv for me witch I could build myself. They bought the model and I started building. This evening I continued building after 1,5 years.
