You can always use the walls...
I had to do that, no place to put them other than the walls, and I like how they look there...

Cheers...

Re: How many models in your to-do pile?

i sometimes think the better question is:
"how many in your 'to finish' pile?"

Re: How many models in your to-do pile?

Hi guys,

I saw this thread and thought it would be good to see just how many I have, I dont think Im as 'bad' as some of you, although having totted everything up I think Im getting there!

Im sure alot of you are the same as me and when you see something (either cheap or rare) then it gets bought and put in the cupboard, so I really didnt know just how many kits I would have.

So here they are - I counted 102 in total, shocking really and I definately dont wanna even begin to think how much I've spent, apart from just a handful of kits, each box has P/E upgrades, transkits or replacement decals inside, the 1/12 Ferrari F190 and McLaren MP4/6 have both got the essential Perfect Parts sets and brake sets - ah what the hell eh - its only money, and afterall it is the best hobby in the world - RIGHT!

I think Im quite disciplined compared to some as I like to start and finish before moving onto the next model on the shelf so my current build - the Stratos is my only one started out of the collection.

So, anyway first up F1 in 1/20...

then WRC in 1/24...

then Lemans / GT in 1/24...

a couple ready for that diorama I am always going to get round to...

and finally F1 in 1/12...

Must have's still to purchase... I need a 1/24 Tamiya Sierra for my Q8 transkit, I have to get a 1/24 GT40 soon - probably a Gulf one, also want the Lotus 49 in 1/12 and a Yardley McLaren M23, after that well the rest are just on wish lists - eg. Modelers Delta S4 etc

What are us modelers like eh!

Sean

Re: How many models in your to-do pile?

There's too many in my to do pile! Although not as many as yours Sean! Is that the BBA Design RS200 I see in your stockpile? Whats the overall quality like? That's a kit I was thinking about doing myself.
I also see the Aifix Triumph TR7.What a classic kit.My first car model I built years ago with some help from my sister and grandad.Long gone in the dustbin, but I remember it with fond memories.

Steve,

yes it is the BBR RS200 - and to be honest Im not very impressed - not a patch on the Modelers version and will require alot of clean up work to make it look respectable, but I saw it on ebay a year or so ago and thought I would get it as the Modelers is getting almost impossible to get hold of. It only cost me £50 which wasnt too bad.
The TR7 is a beauty yeah, there are two kits inside the box, I know there used to be a detail/transkit for this kit - but it is extremely rare - if I can get hold of that it will be one of my next builds for sure.

Sean

Thanks for the info Sean.I'll probably give the RS200 a miss.I had enough problems getting the Audi Quattro S1 to fit together nicely.I don't think I want to go down that road again just yet.

Yep, 1996 amt re-re-release from old mpc, not a good model kit, it is just that I liked that show a lot when I was a child...

Re: How many models in your to-do pile?

I finally got around to putting up a shelf in the closet to put mine all up in the same place. Turned out I had to go right back and get a longer shelf!!

This comes out to about 50 kits... Some boxes just have parts, some have more than one kit crammed in. Absent are the STI and Prelude that are still "on the bench."

But we also have to peek under the couch:

And I'm not ready to show what's under the bed yet!
