Re: Progress- TRD 3000GT Modified

Thanks for the comments!

I do have 1 question for the technically minded? Where do the BOV's mount on the Supra's?
The reference photo's I've got seem to show both before and after the Intercooler? But it's difficult to tell due to the intercooler pipe layout on these cars.

Also do they use plumb-back or atmospheric BOV's?

Re: Progress- TRD 3000GT Modified

The BOV can mount on either the throttle body intake pipe or the compressor discharge pipe. Supras are known for varied locations.

The Supra can purge the BOV into open atmosphere.

How did I miss this thread, your engine is putting mine to shame. The turbo and Air Filter setup is very cool indeed.
Can we see some more photos a bit lower and a bit larger please.

Re: Progress- TRD 3000GT Modified

Thanks for all the nice comments!
Here are some more updates
I scratchbuilt the intercooler and pipes and placed everything together for better viewing. There will be quite a bit more wiring once I drop the engine in the car. I'll also join the lot up with simulated silicon hose.

In this photo are some other bits I have made. The BOV, strut brace and titanium muffler. Again, I'll have to wait until I have the engine mounted in the car before I locate the BOV.

I hope you like it?
