Re: Integra GSR vs. Prelude VTEC

loser can't accept the fact hahaha
why mustang built 4.6L engine instead keep 3.6L
same reason why honda motors built 2.2L Instead 1.8L .... Integra fans do you think you can use your 3.6L to kill 4.6L or 1.8L to kill 2.2L

Umh....let's see, I couldn't find any Preludes that beat the 2000 Type R on the site that YOU recommended. The Type R was the only one in the 14's. And just to let you guys know, there is more to it then just hp. There is also gearing and rpms to factor in. Also a thing called usable power. Just give it up, it's o.k. to lose to underpowered cars.

You sir need to just give it up now, You have no clue what you are talking about. Check the links in my first post on page 2 I think it is. Also the 1997 ITR is just as fast as the 98,99.00.and 01. They all had the same motor and tranny etc. Exact same car except for the different front bumper, headlights and rear bumper.

And BTW it is spelled VTEC

Sorry man but you have to be one of the dumbest people alive! "I never said the prelude was faster" But you say the the prelude beats the integra Type R in the 1/4 mile. Is that not saying that the prelude is faster?

I was all for a peacefull debate, I knew from the start that it would turn into something like this though. This topic has come up alot before and I have been ther to see how it turned out. I just wish some people (not to name names) in thisd post would have came to the table with a little more knowledge and proof instead of just bashing a particular car. I must admit that I bashed one or two people in this post but that in now way was me taking sides in the debate, I just can't stand it when people who don't know what they are talking about say a bunch of incorrect things. I feel that possibly someone who was considering either one of these cars will read that incorrect information and make a decision based on that, or partly on that and discover that they have been feed wrong information, and it is too late.

See that is why I flamed a smidgen

i have a stock '94 vtec prelude and i just raced a '95 gsr (supposed to be the fastest 3rd gen gsr ) and we raced from a stop and a little after 1st gear i was pulling him fast and was ahead of him by almost a car length after about 400 feet...and he had a straight pipe and i had someone in my car 50 lbs heavier then the other person in his gsr...so even in the short race i ate him, imagine if we kept going he woulda lost very badly
