What a great show!!! I have'nt been to a good gathering since the computer came along. Very cool to check out some awesome builds in person and meet their builders. There was a good vendor turn out who were all friendly and fun to say Hi too... A few had some kit's, Tom had a bunch of good kit's in all scales, lot's of Ferrari books & lit. On top of that this was at the best model venue I've been to. The staff at this place were super!!! I loved being able to roam the garage of this place where the cars were displayed. I was also honored and thrilled to receive some awards for my model. Looking forward to next year and I'll plan better

Thanks Joe. I think everybody had a good time. The weather was good and they had plenty of exotic real cars to look at along with all the great models. Your model was stunning and deserved "Best of show" as much as any model I have ever seen!! The show is all about quality not quantity. I hope we have even more builders from Mexico again next year.
They add fresh top talent not seen in this country very often. It also was great to see some new young builders enter the contest for the first time.
Their models would make anyone proud!!

Hi,

I saw the Enzo MIG recently, the kit looks good, well done.
The mastermodel must have been good but I have seen better resinparts.
At the chassis at lots of areas some holes (?) were repaired with automotive putty and sanded very rough.

BBS wheels look great but need lots of cleaning. The tires are just slicks (made of resin), no street tires in the box.

All parts seem to fit well, so for Ferrari-tuning enthusiasts for sure a must have.

My bad...I fixed it. That was done by Rosendo Castanedo who flew all the way from Mexico. Some amazing top quality builders down there!!

With all the new books/videos and decals coming out for the original Carrera
Panamericana I have decided to continue the Carrera Panamericana Ferrari Expo
model contest theme for 2012. Hopefully some of the models that were not
finished this year can be in the contest in 2012. I am working on the 1952 and
1954 winners in 1/24th scale and I know Kaz is still doing the 1954 250 Monza
Hotel Prado car in 1/43rd. By then I hope to have 2 more decal sheets for the
PAN AM done. Fisher should also have his 750 Monza kit done with PAN AM decals
Joe Blanche(914joe) the amazing 1/43rd Bosica builder from New Jersey is also working on a
PAN AM Porsche(I hope.

Coming in mid March 2012 is Ferrari Expo 2012. Date TBA.

Start making your sportscar/racecar models now!! The event will again be held at Continental Autosport Ferrari/Maserati. This years model theme will be Carrera Panamerica along with Targa Florio/Mille Miglia and endurance road racing. We will also have a special F1 model class. THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO ALL SPORTSCAR MANUFACTURES, NOT JUST FERRARI'S.

Top quality model builders from as far away as central Mexico and from New Jersey to Washington state came in for the event last year.

Hope some of you can make it again this year. This is a very high quality event with several real vintage Ferrari's always on display. Last year we had the 1959 250 TDF Lemans 1959 GT winner and Alfa TZ1 competitione as the featured display cars. Some might have also liked the 599 GTO and the other pre 1975 Ferrari's on display.
