I bet the tires on your car weren't even rated for that speed...

Re: top speed

i would get a (fcd) fuel cut defenser, i saw one at intense motorsports or try xs eng they probblu have one! as far as top speed its limited bye the fuel supply, when ur car reaches A certin speed the computer trigers the injectors to stop spraying in turn u cannot go any faster! a fcd tricks your computer to think u are actually going slower so that u can go that extra 20 or 50 mph.

Re: top speed

Ok this thread is closed for many reasons...

1) Whatever the answer to how fast these cars run, it's much more important to make sure your car is able to handle the speed. Meaning the tires better be rated, suspension better be stable, better have some great brakes to stop that thing, should be done on a closed course, and the driver should be able to handle it. I'm pretty sure that most of the people here claiming that they've done 1xx-mph would have no idea what to do if a tire blew out at those speeds.

2) It's stupid to go that fast on the street. Unless you have a built car AT THE TRACK, no one should be going that fast and endangering the lives of others. Coming home today on the expressway, there was a nice pileup because of a Ricer. Nice chunks of twisted metal, and it didn't look too promising for the other driver. Nice.

3) FCD have nothing to do with the speed limiter set by the ECU. Don't post information that is false and not backed up by any proof of your alleged claims. If you have proof of that, PM me and I'll reopen the thread for you. Seems fair.

4) If you really want to find out how fast your car goes without the proper setups and space, do it. I hope you get caught and hurt yourself. Then come back here and tell us how fast you went to jail. I think that's the info everyone here and everyone visiting here can use and hopefully learn from.

Thank you.
