I had a guy in a Pulsar( US spec-there wasn't a preformance version) fly past me. He then went to town and told some people he raced and beat me. He was feeling all cool til I showed up. This happens a lot around here.
Seems like everyone has a fast car til one of us that do show up

An Infiniti G20. This thread has been moved here from the G20 section.

okay.... well it's not like the G20 is one big performance car!
Like G20s are fine, but they're not much better than any honda

Do you even know what you are saying here? Our G20's are not meant to be super fast cars. They are meant to be a luxury car, not meant for speed. So the first time you put on a intake, or advanced your timing, you are going against what Nissan had intended.

I would think a true enthusiast, can respect a persons car for what it can achieve. If you have enough knowledge, money, or whatever, to make a Geo run 10's, I will give you credit. That is something hard to achieve.

have you ever ridden in a modified G20? A friend of mine took me for a ride in his car about 2 and a half years ago, that's all that was needed to convince me otherwise. They are not great at straight line acceleration (stock), but the handling, especially once modified is great. With race tires, I'm sure my car could keep up with a LOT of cars on a road course, on a tight, twisty one I'm sure it would pull from a LOT of cars. (with a good driver driving of course). Now, if your comparing it to a type R, or S2000, ok, but say for example a 89 CRX HF (or whatever the lower end model is), umm no. But there goes that whole Honda thing again... Honda/Acura makes Apples and oranges, so does Nissan/Infiniti. We need to compare apples with apples and oranges with oranges to make it fair.

I was talking to someone at the 4&rotary Nats who also mentioned his GTI Pulsar broke into a 14.9, when it was relativly stock, This surprised me, as Iv raced several and thumped them with out much trouble, and although Iv never 1/4'ed my car, people Iv talked to with SiR Civics all claim mid 15s.

But anyway, Im sick of guys in a Boosted GSR lancers, or Turbo Skylines wanting to race me because they see a VTEC sticker on the side of my car. Theres no way Im going to keep up, its a totaly unfair race.
That is some funny shit. It was probably my mate you were talking to. He was at the nats, and his GTi did a 14.9. it was stripped out though and that will help a bit. He wants to put a SR20DET in it as he was talking to a guy up there with one in his GTi.
I just love to fly past any car with VTEC on it Running 14psi is all the better for me. have to law off so I don't run over them LOL
No really, my friend has a SIR, it goes hard, but he drives it hard.. He is turboing it soo maybe.. then I might be scared.

look at what kb wrote, that's basically what i'm sayin

It's just the aruement, like the guy said the honda isn't meant for speed, well neither is a G20. Sure a modded G20 can keep up with many cars but so can a modded honda

14psi on a Skyline is NICE!!!!! Iv driven a GTs-T 2dr running 14psi, damn fast car, (but I have to say rather wooly in the handling department, it turned and stuck, but didnt like to tell me (the driver) what it was doing.)

I wouldn't worry to much about a Turbo'd SiR, you still have something he will lack, TRACTION! :silly2:
But If you start from about 50kph you could have a problem.

JustinP10 If you really think your bigger heavier, and in terms of suspension technology primitve G20 can out handle a 2nd generation CRX then I suggest you never race one on a road or autocross course, because you will be very very let down.

Yeah HICAS in the Skyline can be a problem, but if you drive them long enough you will adapt and only know that way.. so when you get in a car without it, it feels SO LOOSE>>

I find my GTS-4 handles damn well, GTS-T can also handle pretty well with some new suspension. I have GTR shocks and new springs. Helps alot, although a hard ride..

As for the GTi with a SR20DET.. yeah traction would suck, but rolling it would beat a GTiR, so it would be a fun car.

whats up with these honduh drivers anyway? jeez. someone needs to give them a reality check and tell them THEIR CARS SUCK! they are going to get themselves killed thinking their honduh was made to go at those speeds.
You already lost the respect of others by posting Honda as Honduh. So how can you tell it's Honda if you can't tell which model it is. There is a lot of ricers that makes a manufacture look bad. Whatever brand you are driving have those as well.

well...
on the fastest fwd thing...
papadakis has the fastest fwd 1/4 time and speed, correct me if im wrong...

if there was a faster one, we would all know about it, and all the american mags would show it to us, b/c they arent biased...
or it would have been on www.overboost.com b/c they also are unbiased... especially considering the two articles they did on a coupla 200+ mph 300zx's from japan... so we would know if a faster fwd car existed...

and on the honda / acura thing
they are both honda motors.
and there is still strong suspiscion (sp) that the civic si is detuned so it doesnt kick the teg's ass in power... and on that note, why is it that the teg type r only puts down 165ish whp when it has 200 at the flywheel? hmm... odd, but hey...
at least it has more tq...

i must note though, that i never put down a nissan or anything like that...
i just noted that a honda is not a shit box...

I think g$ is thinking of this NSX. The "next" NSX will be somehow related to the "Dual Note" concept. Which are you refering to, Ben?
