T25 is very small for the KA. It will spool ver quickly but probably wont be good past 10 psi or so. It's efficiency range falls off around 15 psi on a 2 liter SR, so it will be a little lower on a 2.4 liter KA. so yeah it will only be good for low boost

Thanks for repling J SPEC SilEighty

This is good news, do you know if the stock SR20DET exhaust manifold will bolt up on the KA24DE?

Yes...KA's are good on stock internals to about 320-350at the wheels w/PROPER tuning and fuel management

I am a newbie. That issue of scc got me into the entire car thing. I have learned a lot since then, but I dont claim to be an expert in anyway. All of my knowledge comes from online articles, forums, and magazines. I have no hands on or mechanical knowledge.

I am looking for an s13 240sx. I like s15 lights, but i want eastbear lights instead because they are unique and dont cost much. I am also looking into either building a ka+t (if the car doesnt have too many miles) or an rb swap (i dont like sr swaps because they have been done too much). I will get some big rims (probably 18's) beacause I like the way it looks and I will build a loud system (i like it) I will also heavily modify the engine and the interior of the car and get some q45 break rotors. If I have extra money, i will do some unique things such as lambo doors. People say that speed is everything but that doesnt mean the car has to be ugly to be fast. I want my car to look good but have balls at the same time.

So do you consider me a ricer????

the only 2 things that are bad about your plan are a)putting a huge system in a car that you say is built to go fast. stereo systems, especially aftermarket ones, add alot of weight to your car b) lambo doors. why?? they add weight, and are really really ugly. i don't even consider them rice, they're just totally crap and way too expensive

yea i don't suggest lambo doors... they're too much money and add nothing to the car except a cheap look

I agree.. for my sound needs all I need is my headunit and some speakers that work. I dont need any huge subs or amps. and for the lambo doors, I think they just belong on lambo's and thats it...

Thumbs up Mei Car!!!

YEs!!!! Drifting is by far the best man-made sport...car sport ever created on gods green earth. All though 1/4 mile is in fact fun, a 240 is a better drifting car then it is a drag car. That's not to say I'm not going to drop my SR20 motor into it, and run a new exhaust system in it....k&n intake. and rims...but I dont want or expect my car to be a drag car when I'm done with it.

no no don't get me wrong, i'm just trying to say that it might not be a good idea to try and install a $2000 engine by yourself without any knowledge of the subject at all...

We've done many SR20DET swaps without rebuilding the engine, it looks like they already have low mileage and are in good working condition... Could be something to do with Japan's 'pollution/environmental' laws causing them to retire early. Regardless it's still a good idea to actually rebuild the engine before swaping.

btw, how much does it cost to rebuild the SR from a speed shop.

Assuming you supply the engine, the going price for a swap is about $2500 + extras (ie. intercooler, exhaust, etc, etc)
