Hey man I am sorry if you were offended. I am not trying to destroy your self confidence or anything but come on, a little dose of reality here. A car that is 18 years old, with interior and exterior blemishes, a cracked block, messed up alternator, and poorly chosen mods is not going to 'rock the road'. I don't need to drive your car to know that. I know these and many other cars inside and out, so no I wasn't looking up specs for hours. And if you want me to shut my mouth take your car to the track or even the dyno. Then either I will have my foot in my mouth bowing down to such an awesome car or you will see how you have a long way to go before your car rocks the road. Well unless you have thousands of dollars invested into your audio system you might be able to rock the road.

no celica chick i wasnt referring to you. you havent even so much as commented on my car so that was not directed at you. 1G-GTE, perhaps you are right, my ego is probably overblown by how my car kicks all other cars asses around here. northwest arkansas. people have their hondas and shit that have the 5 inch exhaust tips and call it fast. on another note i got the exterior blemishes fixed last week. i backed up w/ the door open and that created a fin out of my door. created air drag that almost pulled me off the road @ high speeds. btw, the crack in the block is only in the coolant system, doesnt affect performance at all, plus i have it sealed with this crap i got at napa. im just sick and tired of everyone putting down my car when they dont even know how it rides. i was just kinda pissed off when i wrote that last one.

i know its not much, but hey they are out there. and I'm sure that some kind of kit can be modified to fit the 3rd gens.

Yeah no hard feelings man. I have the same Honda problem as you and am a little short tempered, I guess, when people claim to own the road and how thier AEM CAI and Greddy exhaust on thier little CRX made the car have like 300hp. I am revved on every time I am at a stop light by some high schooler who is taking the family Accord out for a night of cruising. I guess I was a little quick to judge and apologize. Hope you get everything fixed on your car and get it running good. At least you are representing the 3rd gen Celicas. Very few on the road where I live. A lot of people say I have a Mustang which pisses me off even more. Anyway man sorry to blow up on you.

Oh, and body kit wise Erebuni, Kaminari, Mitcom, and Toysport make them for the 3rd gen's (82-85). Vestatec Styling also makes a front spoiler which looks pretty good. I have one on my car and they are available for $100 here. It also adds a little downforce to the front at high speeds contrary to some body kits I've seen available for Honda's.

where do you live? are you in SoCal? i will gladly take some time to see your car. hell, i'll even race ya

i never said i know all about cars. but what i said was the truth plain and simple. sorry to all the celica owners(i am one) but the celicas in america were not made fast from the factory, and are costly to make fast or should i say faster. with the exclusion of the 4th gen and 5th gen alltracs. being turboed from the factory always gives the car an advantage. the same mods not only add more HP, but they improve the power band more than on most NA cars. and simply increaseing the boost pressure and a more efficient intercooler go a long way

AND

RWD does not make a car fast, where the hell did you get that idea? it does, however, allow for more traction because of the weight shift when launching. btw i would bet that you do not know that FWD transmissions are more efficient than RWD transmissions. the standard drivetrain loss on a RWD car is about 20%, so IF your car with the IHE combo you have still makes stock power you will have about 93hp and 112tq at the wheels. oh man, despite your cracked block and shit alternator, you still make mad amounts of power that when you launch your back end almost hits the ground. i can make my fwd celica do that, all i have to do is drill holes in my rear shocks so that they will be as shitty as yours

BUT ON ANY OF THE NA CELICAS, they do not have the power to lose all traction unless they are driven by crappy drivers. the newest celicas have the most NA HP, well, the GTS model anyways, and its power is high in the RPM range as well as its torque. sure, the car can lose all traction, if the driver wants it too, HELL, even my 105hp 117tq celica ST can burn out and i have an auto tranny.

if you want to know what a fast car feels like, go to a used car dealer that has an auto f body camaro z28 and floor it from a stoplight. NOW THAT IS TORQUE. that is a fast car. not your broken down busted 1985 celica gts.

any car can be made fast, celicas included, but there is no way that basic bolt on mods would make your 18 year old car a monster at the track.

you are the one that should know what you are talking about. i have been in fast cars, i know what power feels like, you are probably compairing your car to one of the first honda cars that were shipped to america.

soon as i get the money im buying the erebuni kit, decision made lol. antyoo, cram it, i would destroy you and you know it. hell, my dad's minivan can do a burnout, so thats nothin special. 1G, ditto, no hard feelings. also, almost everything thats wrong with my car, i did. one of those "oops" situations. and yeah my rear shocks probably are shot. just like my front ones. btw, will those kits fit the 83 supra? cuz i recall hearing that the supra was slightly longer and wider.

i dont mind losing to a car that is powerful enough to rip off its own body kit.

but seriously, the only way your car would destroy mine is if yours blew up while waiting for the light to go green or if you dont stop at the end and hit me.

you probably just dont want me to see how slow your car really is

The Celica Supra's are longer not wider (when compared to a Celica GTS). The rear might fit, but the side skirts will be too short, and the front spoiler would work width wise, but would not reach all the way to the wheel well creating a gap and looking like shit. Erebuni also makes 2 kits for the Celica Supra so use that instead of trying to adapt one from a Celica.

oh shit, the 3 hp you gained from cutting off your cat and the loss in low end torque are really gonna kill me.

besides, how many people do you think actually abide to the emissions laws?

oh and the only mod you have that breaks emmisions laws is the removal of your cat.

besides, you have an 18 year old engine, as engines age, they dont make the power they used to, so im pretty sure that your 18 year old engine is not what it used to be from the factory and that my engine that was rebuilt 10k miles ago before i bought it makes closer to factory power than yours.

and besides, when did i ever say what i have done to my car?

and since you obviously dont want to race, i will go to the local 1/4 mile track and find an 85 gts to race

I've got an 81 4X4 I'll run yer 85 with, but beware, I have lots more performance mods than you. And those 5.71 gears turn them 33's over nicely
