Civics are already very well-made from the factory, and are 923645962135497362459235 times more reliable than other cars out there. Plus, the aftermarket support gives it an edge over other manufacturers, giving it an abundance of options, be it for show or for go. All this plus retaining bulletproof reliability.

So please, 200sx, no flaming towards civics in this forum. Keep it to the off-topic section (duh that's why we have them). :bandit:

No, its not the DET, just the Jspec SR20DE. It comes with a few more horsepower, slightly higher compression. I wouldnt mind a DET however.

A good DET install, with motor should run about $2500. Unless you do it yourself.

Isnt that the truth. It takes a lot of money, time, and know how too....

What people forget is just because you have an I/H/E, you arent instantly a race car, and even if you do have a turbo, SC, or whatever it doesnt really matter if the car isnt tuned correctly. I think thats a lot of peoples problems they put turbos and stuff on and then expect it to go fast, and it just doesnt happen like that. By tuning the car you take it to its maximum ability, so instead of potential you now have what it can do.

but I have a website that shows a civic EX beats a mustang GT in quarter mile times. (civic 16.8 sec., 'stang ~17.2).
a Mustang GT? Yeah, that's it. Brand new mustang GT's do the quarter in about 14, try 17 for a V6. And another way that a mustang will own civics, etc, is with minor mods (adjusted timing, cat-back exhaust, forged pistons and crank along with 92 octane fuel) a twin-turbo 5.0 can put out 600-800 horsepower, for less money than trying to go anywhere near that mark with a civic would cost, or pretty much any other jap wagon, for that matter.

Please tell me you are from shitonhonda.com? If not check it out you would like it
Well I don't think anyone will argue, there are so many cars faster than Civics. We could spend days debating. I am an autoxer, I have friends with stangs V6/V8, and blown Camaros, you know why I have their respect, is because I don't argue about what is faster, that matters little. Although I can beat my friends 2k1 Stang V6 from 0-110MPH no problem, he also has an intake, exaust. I think that is unusual, butr that car is not really a sports car. Nor is my Civic. I have yet to see any stang take me in lap times autoxing. I think you'll agree that the stangs abilty to make its way through the twistes is not as good nor is the suspension archetechure, except on the higher end stangs, that double the Civics in price at 30-40k. I don't claim to be fast, I just like cars probably like you, and I want to make what I have better.

Oh yeah the good old tunning options did you know that for the same money that you guys waste to make this wonderfull turtles reach 200hp you could have made the same stang go well pass 350hp, just tryng to point that out. in my opinion civics are the worst investment as far tunningg cars go, they suck and i beg you please prove me wrong because all of you know that im right. peace i feel like looking at civics from my rear view mirror
MOST CIVICS AND THE GUYS THAT DRIVE THEM ANNOY ME! I DON'T NECESSARILY DISLIKE THEM, IM JUST TIRED OF THEM. I DO LIKE THE SI AND S2000! ONE THING I DISAGREE WITH YOU ON IS THE FACT OF GETTING A RUSTANG!!!!! UGGGGGHHHHH!

ANYWAYS, GO SR20DE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
