Re: AFMOTY06 Votes So Far (9th Jan 07)

This is pretty lame.

I hope he's allright, and I hope also he's not.
Because if he is, he shouldn't be allowed to do this another year.

A bit of a pity.
But eitherway, I hope he's allright.

Wow, what gratitude. He has put on this wonderful contest for, 3 years that I know of now. This is the first year with delayed results. Every other year there has been a month of voting. So the wait has been no longer than in previous years. Try and organize one of these events on here, it is quite a feat. Warren is a stand up guy! Very loyal to the forums and helpful.

I don't think he meant it seriously...

You are absolutely right! Pman is a nice guy. And he's been doing a superb job on previous AF moty's. I hope he's doing allright ofcourse! Please don't get this wrong.
And as far as my previous comment, yeah, sure it's harsh. It wasn't meant personal or all, I like the pman too!

But I just think it's quite irresponsible and hopefully he has a good excuse.
My view is when you take such a contest, you associate with the responsibility. We all worked to get our entries in on time, now we want to see the results. He could atleast told us if something came up as organiser, no?

That`s what concerns me. Every other year he has been right on time, even posting a few hours before the close letting us know how the race was going. Hopefully he just had a computer crash or something, or maybe he forgot his own new deadline. Or maybe he is bitter cause his favorite didnt get many votes.

Very dissapointing reaction Oli.
I'm hoping it's a simple case of computer meltdown rather than something more serious that has kept Warren offline for the past week.

Agreed.

I hope that nothing seious has happened to Warren.

He is not paid to run the contest and does it out of the kindness of his heart. So what if the results are delayed ... keeps up the suspense

Re: AFMOTY06 Votes So Far (9th Jan 07)

TBH I am confused now.

I checked out the Primera club forum in Pman's profile and he seems to be happily posting away there (of course it IS possible that is another pman called Warren).

Is it time to call it an honorable draw and put this contest to rest?

Man, that is strange if it`s him. This is so unlike P-man. Has anyone PM`d or IM`d him lately?

Re: AFMOTY06 Votes So Far (9th Jan 07)

Guess he's just finally had enough of the lot of us an left....

Either that or he got snowed in during New Zealand's great midsummer freak blizzard of '07, and he built the Zakspeed Capri himself (or ate his PC).

Curious, but I'm glad to hear that it would seem he's OK. Sure, I guess it would mean not getting to see my brilliant come from behind victory play out in the end, but at this point maybe calling it an honorable draw and a hearty congradulations for everyone who participated seems appropriate.

Re: AFMOTY06 Votes So Far (9th Jan 07)

OK.
First of all i'd like to say sorry for the delay in getting the final results posted on the forums.
I went away on holiday just before the dead line and was only meant to be for a few days but it ended up turing into a good few weeks break away from everything.
It was a spur of the moment thing and i should have posted to say i'd be away, but as i said, it ended up alot longer!!.

I had my car entered in the 4's and rotary NZ Nationals during this time and this took up all my time leading up to this event getting it ready in time.It was meant to be a 6hr trip up for the nationals and back 2 days later, but i liked it so much we ended up staying longer then we planned.
I was away all this time and only had time to log on to our own web site to sort out stuff with our own car club. (Those that dont know, i'm the president of the www.primeracarclub.co.nz and it takes up a shit-load-of-time). The rest of my time was limited to internet access due to were i was staying.
I will sort the last of the PM's (votes) out over the next few hours and have a final result posted shortly after that.
Once again i'm sorry for the delay as it wasnt fair on you guys who were waiting for results...but at times family and holiday's come first.
Thanks for showing your concern as to my were-abouts. I did receive your emails from those who emailed me. I only read them today after getting home and have not had time to reply.

Cheers
Warren
