FTO and GS. I do feel sorry for the family. But I do not take back what I said about the father. I know of other dads who took the easy way out and left their children behind. Fucking cowardly acts. Life is not always easy, but its your responsibility to look after the family you put together. His dad wasn't taken from him. His dad was not kidnapped, threatened, injured or blackmailed into doing something like this. He left his family behind and thats about as low as you can get.
You can dislike my opinion and you can sympathize with the family and thats perfectly fine. I do wish Blatch and the rest of his family the strength to deal with this and growing up to be good people. But I'm not going to pussyfoot around the fact the guy took the easy way out. As for the rest of you. You dont know me. You dont know my family history. I know more about this then 99% of you.

Although you put it harshly... extremely harshly... I agree with you. Suicide is not the answer. It just creates another problem. |

yeah i agree with that too... i would never kill myself, not over anything
but still it was kinda mean saying that pretty much to the persons face... i'm sure they don't feel good about their dad not being around, so they don't need people insulting him

Yogs, that was harsh. If thats your opinion, fine. Dont say that out loud to his face! I think you are a good member, (blatch is to), but that was uncalled for and has tarnished my opinion of you. Next time, just say "I dont think suicide is ever the way out. But I feel for you"
That would be better.:what: |

Yogs, how bout this. I hope that someday life gets to be too much for even you, then, when you die, someone tells your kids that their father was a pussy. What in the fuck do you do then?

I think Yogs got the message.
Back to lawyers, I think a lot of my dispise for lawyers comes from doing a lot of my own paper work. I'll go research it, fill it out, then take it to an attorney to look over. They'll spend 10-15 minutes making indiscermable noises, say it looks good, charge $75 -$100. Then when you present it to the judge, something's missing, and it's not filed properly, so it's dismissed. Really burns my cookie. |

My aunt is going to be lawyer (she has about a year left of stuff to do, and she is now working in a law firm in kitchener). She is a very nice, friendly, happy person, so not all lawyers are bad.
IMHO, the bad lawyers are the ones who defend guilty people (like OJ), and twist the system to get their way. They do it for money, and I dont really have respect for them. But those lawyers who defend regular clients, familys, people who are sorry but dont want their life to end, etc, those people are good, and I have respect for them. But they are pricey

Yeah he's bad yada yada I would defend Tony Soprano, that would be fun, you know he's a mob boss and you know that he does the bad things but you try to defend him. whatever, i guess i'm goin to hell, lol

I want to put a cap on this to summarize what is fact and what is opinion. Now, unless you are an actual lawyer, meaning, you are the licensed person to discuss law this is not directed to you. However, this is directed to those who either work, associate or what have you with them. Now, I'm not going to bash or flame anyone in here. I am merely going to say from what I've experienced and from what I have seen.
Lawyers, made to protect the innocent and uphold the law in our courts. While some do what's right, others don't. Just like police, you have some bad apples. Now, unless you are in their shoes, all lawyers are susceptible to the same temptations as we are. I'm sorry, but in today's society, with big companies and such, even the most legit lawyer will bend. Sometimes without him even knowing it. That in essence is the problem. Me personally, I've had a few dealings with lawyers, about 4 to be exact. Totally different, non-associated, but ultimately the same. It is how things are, unfortunately, that money can change a person's perspective on how they choose to interpret the law. Not that many people here or anywhere for that matter can say or object that they would turn down a temptation. Because the truth of the matter is, if your job was on the line, and you could not be a lawyer and it is something that you've always wanted to do, some of you would twist things around also. Now with this said, before anyone goes bursting a blood vessel. I'm not saying you wouldn't turn down a temptation, just that unless the situation is present and right in front of your face and you have to choose, you just never know which way you will lean. That is being truthful and honest because that is what they are faced with. You see lawyers right now saying that they would defend a terrorist. Not because they actually believe their innocense, but because of the profit potential. Why else would they take on a case of such magnitude. There are some good lawyers out there, but not many. And in my opinion, 95% of them look at money over matter. Everyone needs to eat and everyone wants to look good and be successful. Success is not measured on the quality of the case, but whether you win or lose it. That is the truth.
