One of the cheepest and bad ass looking things you can do to any bike is instead of paying 60 to 90 dollars for a smoke wind screen take your off and paint the under side of the screen black. You will want to put multipile coats on it but it looks like you bought it that way

Re: Honda CBR 600 F4i

personally I wouldnt do it, the frame on my R1 was polished and it is just way too much work to care for it and keep it looking good, washing my bike and waxing it takes long enough.

Re: Honda CBR 600 F4i

yeah but if you are a fulltime student. Cheep mods will make the bike look beter and save you the $$$$ till you are able to afford the right things for the bike

I am going to have to disagree with that. on drag my f4i will smoke my buddies rr but as far as twisties the rr will leave me in the dust due to the longer swing arm.

And that is also switching riders so it is not the rider.

Re: Honda CBR 600 F4i

his longer swingarm should help him on the strip alot. and switching riders doesnt count, switch bikes for a week and then do it, I am not sure of the difference of the RR and the F4i as far as clutch and throttle goes, but I get off of my daytona onto my buddies gixxer and neither of us can ride the other ones bikes worth a shit for a while, you are just so used ot your own clutches engagment point its hard as hell to launch an unknown bike quickly. plus bike to bike its so close that the TINIEST jump from the line gives you the win usually unless you mess up somewhere or are racing a highly modded bike. even a gixxer 600 to 1000 of the same year its not as hard to get used to but it isnt identical feeling.

Back to F4is, I was checking my friend's 03, and noticed how wide the seats are, it really uses up a person's inseam. It's the same height as my SV, but much wider seat. I like the bike, the fit and finish is good, reach to the bars are ok, and I think the shape and design of the tank is gorgeous compared to Gixxer 600s. But I couldn't help notice this whistling or clicking noise when the bike is idling. My friend said it could be the cams or cam chain tensioners. I never heard it before on any of the other 600s. And when I turned off the bike, I heard these dripping noise, like liquid pouring from a car in parking lot. I never heard that in bikes before either. Friend said it was usual on the F4is. Wonder why that is...

Do F4is have inhenrent mechanical problems, or no one bike is ever alike? My friend said he never had any probs with his, but in the forums like these, I always see more people asking questions about malfunctions on F4i than any others.
