I am sorry to hear those scams guys.... those guys deserve a hit on their heads....

Actually I am one of the guy who will sell kits on ebay and I am a Canadian in Hong Kong right now. My ebay account (same as my nick here) has 100% positive feedbacks so far... (only 10 though.. hah). I always try to be as informitive as I could be to those winning bidders and I will notify them when the kit will be shipping out. If there is a delay on the shipping, I will always explain to them what's going on and tell them when is the latest moment I will be sending kits out....

I know and I understand some guys are trying to sell things and go away without shipping anything or doing some other STUPID things which make customers visit them only ONCE... but not all the Hong Kong sellers are like that. We are all trying to do some business on ebay and I don't want to see these scams ruin all the Hong Kong selles' repetitions.... We could have the kits as quick as Japan and for a decent price. Also, there are lots of discontiued kits on the market...

Talking about the shipping cost, our postal fee are quite high for shipping small parcels to either Europe or North America by airmail. They are calculated based on the weight of the parcel and for the price is starting at about USD$13 for the first 500g...

Just my few penny....

Re: Scams on Ebay!

Hello Friends,

This thread brings me an idea... maybe we should open a thread reporting bad sellers (overpriced shipping for example).... opinions?

Let's say:
If you want to buy from eBay, go check is feedback! It's REA-LLY important! Maybe it's the only way to get safe...

Oh, by the way, another thing: NICEDRIFTKING= !

I wont be buying anymore kits from Ebay, and you guys should be careful too.
This wouldn't be "obesummerjob" also known as "realsukercroatia" would it?

If so, I'm having the same problem, when I won the auction he had 150 and nearly 100% positive feedback. Now it looks like he's taking the money and running.

I order him a Z-tune when he was named "obesummerjob" and 1 week after, it was at my house... then I was planning to command him a Celica and he changed his name to "realsukercroatia"... feedback indicate me that he changed his way to make buisness so I prefer don't bet on that...

It was a time "obesummerjob" was great...

Our @ssclown here was Nicedraftking: order 2 180SX, by the month after, all the feedbacks move to negative... and he move out of eBay!! No 180SX after 3 f***king months!!

AFAIK different guy. I bought the Nismo Z-tune from obesummerjob but a few days later he said his dad closed his PayPal account and he can't complete the deal. He asked me to file a complain with PayPal and he will refund the money. I got my money back so I guess that wasn't too bad. I also bought from nicedriftking when he first started. I got my kits from him after about 45 days. The package was damaged but the damage to the kits was min. BTW, I think they all use just paper to wrap your packages and not a box. Anyway, I'm currently waiting on package from dogstar2005 to get here. It's been almost 2 months so I think I'm going to contact him soon. Looking at his feedback it looks like his PayPal account is closed too... I think I will stick with US sellers and HLJ from now on.

did any of you keep the parcel box from Nicedriftking? The box may have his address, there are HK people here that may be able to locate him.

But I like the idea!

Can someone help us to make our dream come true?

Suggestion on how to deal with eBay scammers

Hi guys,

I just happened to read this thread while i'm preparing to take some macro photos of my recently completed 1/24 Xanavi GTR.

I recently helped out another local modeler here who got scammed on a deal worth 20 kits. If you guys happen to live locally in the Vancouver, BC Canada area, I can meet up with you, take a look at the kits if they came in really crappy or not as described in the auction, and offer a statement to PayPal in an effort to get your money back.

Paypal prefers neutral retail shops and people in the industry to help nail the losers on eBay.

Also, if you guys are looking for kits, and want them shipped to you perfectly at a good price, let me know. on Our shop also sells on eBay from time to time, and we do mail and special orders on all Japanese car and bike kits. Currently we have 100% on 86 trades, and we stand by our promise to real modelers.

Have fun modeling,

Re: Scams on Ebay!

I know some of you are still waiting on packages from dogstar2005 so maybe this will give you some hope. I got my 3-kits from him yesterday after about 2 1/2 months. The kit boxes were all beat to heck because he just use a paper wraper but as far as I can tell there were no real damage to the kits. Anyway, if you bought from him a few months ago and use surface mail there might still be hope. Good luck...

Re: Scams on Ebay!

I was just searching for a Nismo Z-tune on eBay and I came across a new seller that goes by the name "9.99seller' from HK. I have a feeling this is the same guy as nicedriftking, kobesummerjob, dogstar2005 and whatever else Mr. Wong calls himself. I'm guessing you shouldn't buy from this guy. Maybe if somebody has connection with eBay can turn this guy in and shut him down...
