Well I didn't posted here for a while (with ScaleWiki taking all my time and work)
Here is some progress.. Well the Body Kit is done. As I said it's Inspired, not a copy of the R-GT. Bodykit is finally done and next step will be the paint. I still don't know which color. If you have sugestion or comment, let me know !

Re: Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT inspired **Progress**
I have a flourescent red from Model Masters or Testors, can't remember which, and that color looks bright as hell, might look good on this, and what's the worst that could happen, you have to DOT3 it? Anyways, this is an awesome looking build, keep up the work.

Re: Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT inspired **Progress**
Well the long wait for the next update has surely proven to be fruitful! What you have done is just spectacular, I love the clean lines you achieved in your body modification, it looks awesome!
Very clean, cool looking car indeed. On a personal note now... Although I m not a fan how the bodywork becomes smaller behind the front widening, maybe you could add something at the front of the sideskirts to make the transition a bit more fluent? just a thought... And... are those the rims you 'll be using? If so, don't do them in their original colour, please... well, that's what I d do. Sorry if this seems like criticism to you, but I m admirative to your stunning work, just throwing in my two cents in your project. Olivier (oh, and don't believe everything I say, believe what you think is right! )

Re: Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT inspired **Progress**
Looking great. I think a nice yellow with black accents would really set that body off.

Re: Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT inspired **Progress**
Hi
For the Sides; Yes I didn't know how to finish them. On the R-GT, the wide fenders just end without adding anything. I didn't had any idea beside what I have made For the rims; It will all depend of the color of the paint. I might put some smoke on it to make a black chrome look. Depend of the paint. They look better than on the picture (bad lightning make them too bright because I had to ajust the brightness a bit too much )For the Paint, I think Bright Red (over gray primer should look like Italian Red) with Clear Pearl over it. Bot sure yet.

Nice work Eric.
I think yellow or black could look very nice. Can't wait to see it painted, good luck! |

Quote:
The good thing about a yellow, orange, silver, or black even is that it will seperate the car from Ferrari but still maintain that exotic Italian look. I would be inclined to stray away from the darker colors as the primary because that body style needs a bright color to really set the lines off, IMO. In any case, it will look great no matter what color you paint it! |

Re: Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT inspired **Progress**
Coming along nicely Eric. For the color I would suggest yellow with a black (or CF) wing for the color. Keep up this awesome project!

Re: Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT inspired **Progress**
that red.....
it looks very close to the ever popular gold base+red mica top coat.... very cool colour. have you seen the 'rioja' paint on the seat concept cars? as for the mods. very tidy work but i'm tempted to say that maybe you should've kept the edges nice and sharp. for me, the rounded edges doesn't work that well with the car's natural sharp lines. of course, things often change once you get some colour on it. |
