Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT inspired **Progress**

Hi

I have started slowly my new project. (While working on the new web site in the same time)

It's the Fujimi Lamborghini Murcielago that I plan to transform a bit to look like the R-GT Murcielago. (It won't be an acurate transkit, just some inspiration)

I'm not sure yet if I will make it full Carbon. I have the Sheets, I just don't know how it would look like.

First Step, the front Bumper.

I started by opening the hole where fujimi supply plastic part to simulate the mesh. (ugly)

I then started the R-GT inspiration. the Front need to be opened. I used a pin vise to drill small hole all around and then opened the front with an x-acto. Got quite clean result. I added sheets of styrene to finish the openings and doint the ground effect.

And here is the result after the first coat of Epoxy Putty. It was the first time I work with Epoxy Putty and I love that. Still have some filling and sanding to do.

Idea, comments are welcome

Hey Vric, sure you don't want to wait for the transkit which is due to be released this month?

Any price range ?
If it's like the Porche GT3, 80$us is a bit high.

I will put an hold on this kit then.

No price yet. But the kit should be fairly extensive as the whole body is different on the race version.

I found this site:
http://www.slotracinglemans.com/data...s.php?carid=72

Is it this one ? If so, it'S a bit desapointing. The Side aren't the same as the R-GT and the body should be wider.

Well I'm not sure ;-/

That isn't the final product, that's an old pic.

There aren't any pics of the for sale version yet.

That will be awesome! Don’t wait on the trans kit... Just build it dude! The nice thing with building it by your self is that you can make it exactly as you want to. So keep it up!

You might be pleased to know that I have been working on this t/kit over the past few weeks. Just yesterday I finished molds for the rims I have made, they are approximately 19" and have the racing style nut, rears have slightly deeper offset. If you want some for your project LMK.

Hi Vric,

the picture in the above mentioned link shows the decals on a stock body, it was nothing but a decal-test-fitting.

There are no pictures available yet, but I know the transkit. It won´t have a finished body but separate parts (bumpers, wider wheel wells in correct shape, new parts for under the doors, spoiler, etch parts, interior parts, wheels and decals)

A mere description of the kit (in German) you find at
www.scaleproduction.de under "News". I guess it is worth to wait for it, you save lots of work.

Btw, you front parts looks good, but even if you build the Model box stock, the upper part over the 2 "teeth" is too short in the kit.
