can guys be friends with girls? - Page 3

I have 3 really good girl friends but the rest are guys. I'm just more comfortable around guys and I've known them since I was like 4, we've been through everything together. after 18 years of friendship, they're like my brothers and its nice knowing that they're always there to look out for me and such.

I would say that my male to female ratio of friends is 50/50, i have a lot of friends who are male and female... I just get along with everyone, and i can relate to anyone.

I have plenty of female friends and would never even consider cheating on my girlfriend. Just because the opportunity may be there doesn't mean that the person is going to take it.

If you really want any of your relationships to succeed happily, you need to work out any trust issues or else you'll just fall into a constant pattern of losing girlfriends due to jealous behaviour.

update! i read all of ur quotes and took a little advice from all of u. i did cut off emotional ties(broke up with her)but explained myself thoroughly to her. i asked her if i could meet one friend of hers that i was gettin jealous of. and she agreed totally. we havent met yet, but knowing that she dont care made me feel better. i told her im not going to be jealous anymore, or worry.and it feels good! all u guys who think with there dick out there, u r the ones that bring this jealousy upon me. about 50% of u would want to bang ur friend(girl).when i was single, i had a friend named carolyn. when we went out to the bar, we would always split up, but always leave together. we ended up messin around here and there, but she just wanted to be friends. we'll, i couldnt handle just being friends so i still dont talk to her to this day. she always says she hates me when i see her, but i say i hate her 2!i guess that there is a 50% chance that these guys want to bang, and thats a scary percentage. anyway, i know im worth alot so if this girl does cheat, shes just plain stupid! so ill keep it at that and give her all the freedom she wants. thanks for all the replies!!!!!!!

My best friend for awhile was this one girl, She was seeing a guy but we were really close and people often tough we were together, She was a friend with benefits and it was all good. But we drifted apart now so oh well! But yeah you can have female friends.

as of right now and in the past i mostly have girl friends. u don't need to worry about anything. we hang out and have good time. i have not yet thought of them as nothing more than friends. dont worry everything will be ok.

I have mainly guy friends because they come with alot less drama! Girls can be really mean to each other.

I'll be honest, everytime i make another "female-friend"....it always GOES TO HELL IN MY BRAIN.

Meaning that, i always think of them, sexually.... It gets weird. I remember being friends with my manager a couple years back, and over the coarse of 3-4 months....i grew more sexually attracted to her. I didn't tell her, cause at about that time, i was going to her wedding :-(

...For me, that has always been a crutch, i can not "think of them" as just friends.. So, i stay alone....for now. Honestly, i like to be alone..yet alot of people can't fathom that.

My best friend for a long time was a girl. She dated a lot, and most of the guys she dated didn't like me at ALL. I even got into a fight with one the size of a FUCKING BUICK. There were occasions that it took a toll on her relationships, and a some in mine, but her and i stayed close and there was never a thing between us. We even held hands, kissed, no big deal. We were totally unattached and it was one of the best friendships i ever had.

Although my VERY SERIOUS ex and i, oh bout a week after we broke up, she got with her strictly plutonic friend. That one felt good. Don't trust it.

i still find that weird cause u dont kiss or hold ur friends hands....i hope.i just saw this girl i was hangin with before, earlier today, and the reason we stopped talkin was because she didnt want to go further than friends, but i did. we would kiss goodnight and all that, but me being a guy, i wanted sex bad. it ruined our friendship for a few months. now were hangin out tonight, probably gettin f-up. this should be interesting.
