E60 is the new 5 series, the new 7 series is the E65.
The E60 is such a poor design - rear lights influenced from the Peugeot (sp?) 406, inproportional lines, stupid front lights design, the M5 has small quad rear exhausts - the car should be giving a sporting image, not with skinny exhausts! Big brake discs though  Even body modifications, which will be made by various companies, wont suit the car, like it did on the E39 - agressive design. To answer the comparison, the best vehicle is the E Class: Styling - good, although a subjective issue. Refreshing change from crap Jap styling (which BMW could have capitalised on :o ) As I have to go, I will sum up that all other aspects are good on this car, were other cars fall down on.

I hope mitsu realise their mistakes with the evo 8, Subaru are the only company who did with the STi7, and so it is proven that they are the most customer-focused company.
Although styling is subjective, when theres a significant group that hates the Evo 8 looks, it is obvious that something has too be done, unlike when one n00b hates the R34 design :o

it's not a taurus.
they're built on the same/similar platform. that's about all that's similar. in regards to the evo 8, have you seen one in person? don't judge if you've only seen magazine pics. they don't do it justice. i saw 2, one silver, one black, and they're really mean looking, and i'm a big fan (except the tails)

fly - please remember that styling is subjective (Im sure you do), and if I see the evo 8 in person, I'll change my opinion (if I like it) and the new jags are based on fords.
 Im glad that the 8 lights can be changed for the 7 - same light shape etc.

I would go for the M5 but the E55AMG is coming very close.
By the way has anybody seen BMW's pictures of the new 5-series. Damn it's ugly! Chris Bangle should be stopped! Oh, and by the way the worlds fastest saloon comes from the Danish ( ) company Kleeman.Brabus E V12 7.3V12. 582bhp. 772nm.330km/h Kleeman E55 Supercharger 5.5V8. 607bhp. 750nm(just like a ZondaS).  338km/h !!!
