no, that's how they are so sneeky, they have a little light on the inside that they set on the dash. Invisible unless they set it up there and turn it on. gov plates, not sure.

SS2K; If you live in LA that's different everything gets televised and American Cops are doing it right. As for the answer to the Question after my previous post, the British have it a bit easier, most people aren't crazed Psychos that are on crack or something. They usually end up making a mistake or get the Stinger. IR on the choppers helps the 50% of them that get out of the cars and run off. The British I feel are less aggressive and don't have to hit the cars nearly as much. One of the rules for Cops and Law Enforcement is let them make the first mistake. The Americans have to hit more cause like in LA, there are people walking around and are potential victims Britain is a little bit Different. (Smaller cities- Less People & 50% of chases are on M Class highways and backroads) Hope that answers your question.

Cops here will wait-out a chase, too. Unless the suspect is recklessly endangering civilians. That's why the chases last so long.

We also have slow-speed chases, which are laughable, but they let them go until they screw up. Some guys use their turn signals and everything while they're being chased. LOL!

In L.A., at least, you don't. Not only do you have a police heilcopter on top of you, there will be 5 or 6 news copters above him, so that's six cameras on you. The closest I've seen to anyone getting away is when they get out and run through backyards in a neighborhood with lots of trees. But still, with six helicopters looking, where are you ever going to go?

That is real scary. as for the Tunnel solution, Choppers don't always "Hunt" down suspects but they are the "Eyes" of the ground units. Choppers tell the Ground units where the suspects are and where they're headed. If you stop in a tunnel, they will get you with the cars. They have a good system going and rarely do people ever get away. It's worse at night if your a suspect, you stand out like a whit dot on a black background with the Infra Red.
