I am not a liar, everything I posted is well supported with evidence. Bush is burning down all the bridges that Clinton built into the 21st century. Women and ethnic equality, benefits for the workers, all of that flushed away by that grandson of a Nazi simpathizer. If you still want to ignore the problem and stick your head in the sand, be my guest.
TexasF355F1: nice excuse blaming the illegal immigrants that your Texan bussinesmen use as slave labor. |

How exactly did I blame the immigrants? I'm just stating that they try to drive in a country where they don't even speak the language. And they are not our "slaves". The immigrants are the ones that look for the work they get! And without a citizenship what work are they suppose to do besides constructiong related jobs??? Since you don't live in Texas you don't know how much of a problem they are. And plenty are given citizenships each year. And GWB did more as our governor than Ann Richards and our current governor Rick Perry. And what did Clinton do that GWB tore down???

It is nice to see that kaoru-tochiro first cut and pasted someone else's article/statement without citing the source basically passing it off as his own and then links us to where he stole it from. Hopefully you won't do that too often in school(if you are still in school) if you value your reputation as a student and want to continue your higher education(which it seems that you are in dire need of). Another thing, as Yogs pointed out, those numbers didn't even come from Bush's term in office and several of those numbers improved while he was in office. Harris county is the first of several counties that are in the process of introducing emission laws similar to what California has for automobiles to try to clean up the air(Houston leaped past LA in terms of air quality so of course Harris county would be the first county to do it).
I understand your concern with age and mental condition of people who are convicted of committing a crime. The thing about that is that because of all of these high school killings, a lot of states have or have considered lowering the age at which a child can be tried as an adult. Most of this "kids" have known exactly what they have done and to say that they didn't is insane. While I don't agree with sentencing them to death, they do deserve life in prison. About the mental condition of some offenders, a whole lot of people have tried and some have succeeded in faking mental illness to avoid punishment, whether it be prison or the death penalty. Of course because of that, it is a lot harder to use that defense tactic with any success. A few will slip through the cracks, but then again, there are people who have been convicted of crimes who were innocent. No system is 100% perfect. To say that the immigration issues in the south west have no effect on those numbers that you posted is foolish. If there were a way to eliminate the illegal immigrant population from those numbers, Texas' and California's rankings in those areas would shoot up. Being as you are from the New England area, you wouldn't understand or be able to witness first hand as people who live in Texas or California(and I travel back and forth between both states).

Nice post 1985_BMW, you brought back some of what I learned in my Texas History class last year.
You forgot that George Strait and Clay Walker(huge country music stars for those who don't know) are from Texas and both own huge farms. Quote:

Obviously the only evidence all of you ever would believe is if GW Bush actually went on the air and confessed.
After 9/11 I was ready to join the army to settle the score, but I wasn't old enough. Now I changed my mind because the more I read the more disgusted I am with my country. Obviously I'm not as stupid as you all think, young and naive, maybe, but now I see the ugly hidden truth. |

In conclusion I would like to point out how closed minded people are at AF. Don’t you think its time to start thinking outside the box? You’re all so quick to label someone as stupid or dumb, but look at the conversations that go on in here like why a Z06 is faster than a Modena, (hmm very stimulating indeed, obviously there is a lot of brain matter floating at AF). My college professors say that people that are immersed in "car culture" are not very intelligent, now I strongly agree with them.
