Worst part is that I'm learning to become one of those damn teachers who can't teach to save their life!!!! I have to know this stuff, and I don't have any computers to keep my @ss out of a sling...

Actually, make that:

If you hate college, why are you there? If you're forcing yourself to learn something, you are in the wrong field. If you dont like the shit now - you sure as hell wont like it out in the real world either. I know ther are some bullshit classes to take and they can be a bitch. Saying that college sucks seems to indicate a bigger problem.

i thnik you may have a point there. ive actually been thniking about changing my major for the last week or so. I think its to soon to tell though seeing as how ive only been here for two months. We'll see how the semester ends up and then decide from there. It'd help if the professors spoke english though.

I like math, I really do. This professor is impossible. She marks off points just because the wind blows. My exams and homework come back with more red than charcoal on them; usually for no reason what so ever. Granted, I do mess up on some problems, and that is deserved, but she once took a point off a 5 point homework assignment because the capital D for derivative WASN'T TALL ENOUGH for her liking... tell me that isn't a reason to be pissed...

Okay, I'll hand it to you that college can be grueling at times. Midterms do suck (just ask me, I had to cure poverty this weekend). There are always those occasional professors who drive you up a wall or make you wonder why you even get out of bed in the morning to make it to their class, but above all, college can be a pretty great experience. Of course, I'll have to re-read this post later this week as I grumble, scream, and threaten my chem professor with pouring concentrated acid on his bike seat...but regardless, I wouldn't have passed up the opportunity to be here. It is challenging, it can be extremely frustrating, but hey, what aspect of life isn't?

What the hell is all this college-flaming crap? College was awesome. Yeah, it had its share of ups and downs (hmm... just like life in general perhaps?), but in general it was incredible. Though I agree that mid-terms really seem to serve such an arbitrary purpose of trying to illustrate an individual's ability to absorb and regurgitate short-term information. I didn't spend any serious time working until my senior year. But then it was very serious. And yet, that was my favorite year.

Gang$tarr, and others who have not yet attended college but may in the future, it can be very fun while still passing all classes :ylsuper Fear not.

College life is ok. Sure its hard work and frustrating at times, but I enjoy the challenge put to me by shitty professors that dont teach, and college girls are ok. I could spend the whole day just sitting in the student lounge watching em walk by, and I wouldnt get bored

The capital D was in an equation... like:

y'=(3sin^2 x) Dx (sin x)

But my D wasn't tall enough, so she marked me off a point

Oh yeah, and I discovered my own stress-relieving solution to my problem (aka HER)... I just don't bother getting up for class anymore, and get my D anyways. Why try? I"ll get the same grade, and more sleep!!!!
