I'm so friggin happy

I just thought I'd let you all in my latest epiphany cause it has to do with my car.

I've always been stressing with the fact that I wanted to turn this thing into a show car but I also want speed thrown in the mix. But do you how hard it is to turn this:

into a 13 second laser tripper? It would take WAY too much money and all the stuff on my car has been all about manual labor, not money. Not only that, I'm in college, I care more about gas mileage right now than stoplight drags. So of course the solution just falls in my lap as usual.

I've been heading out to major shows recently so I got the FULL ON show theme in my head goin. I'm gonna shave my rear end and french some stuff and do sum funky shit with my hood this week to prepare for the Lowrider Scrapin Tour in Tampa this Sunday. BUT WHAT ABOUT PERFORMANCE? Then my dad shows up and presents with an idea, How would you like to build a replica of this bad boy right here:

It wouldn't be totally Cobra, the chasis is but the suspension, engine and drivetrain would be all Mustang 5.0 parts. Which is fine by me, a 5.0 with major work and dual straight pipes sounds VERY friggin tempting. So why not turn the civic into a FULL ON show car? And have the Cobra as my speed car? It makes so much sense to me it's scary. This dude at the show today with a flamed CRX was convincing me to get a small two pump, two battery setup for the civ (Major bling factor, major racing nono). While my best friend is drooling over being able to help me piece together a 10 second V8 trailer queen that my dad would be "sponsoring". So what do you think? :flash:

I'm still gonna get a DOHC swap tho, my engine is nearing 100 grand and it's some extra show points

Yep a kit. The chasis would be included in the kit. The suspension and drivetrain is Stang.

Fuck robbie, all he wants is switches and 4 15's (He's buying a mid-80's Regal already juiced). I'm talking about Carlos in Miami. My V8 buddy.

Not only that but my dad would build it with me. I'll keep this until I die and then pass it on to the kids.

If I had that oppurtunity I would jump on it in a heartbeat. That Cobra kit car is gonna be badass. Plus you get to keep your civic to toy around with. That's good stuff.

I think everyone knows my love for the V8. I'd drive down to flordia just to drive it. Nothing like raw power and a Shelby body.

And then both of you guys w/ you sewing maching powered cars get passed by a moped w/ a 5hp Engine and he goes on to put 5 car lengths on you. Racing an EX vs a DX is like a 10 speed bike vs a golden retriever.

Nope, not that one but a similar one. The flames thing is easy to do
