i have a tanabe hyper medallion, and it sounds sweet. i've gotten many copliments on the way it sounds. its not too loud. nice mellow tone. plus you get about the same amount of power out of it as a lot of the higher priced units. the racing medallion is also a nice piece. :bonghitte

I hope everyone here realizes that most mass produced exhauses has a 60mm tubing. What does that mean? Regardless of which one you pick, the only difference between a DC and a Tanabe or a Skunk2 would be the sound and how it looks. The gains are relatively minor.
So when you want to buy yourself an exhaust (usually about $400-$600) and gain about 0-5HP (sometimes you loss HP in some cases) then go for it. Otherwise its just for the sound. |

different muffler designs, along with the bottlenecks that some of these exhaust systems have, provide for different flow characteristics. sound is just a bonus. true, they dont offer much of a gain, but neither do many other single n/a parts.
