yeah, that's based on the other guy.

not the tree.

winning a street race isn't about waiting for the guy to drop his hands, it's about being quicker than the other guy.

yes, at the track, there's nothing to watch but the tree, b/c you're not racing the other guy, you're racing the lights.

on the street, you're racing the other guy. end of story.

my point was that if you wait for the other guy to make the move first you just lost the initial reaction since obviously he already gunned it. My point was that it would be better to try to be the first who launches - of course whithout looking like you jumped the gun to fast and cheated.

I think he was referring to racing from a roll. If you're racing from a stoplight then it's all about reaction time when he light goes green. You go full out as soon as the green light come on, regaurdless of what the other guy does. However if you're going from a roll then all of what he said earlier is good to know. Watching the other driver to see when he's going to go and such. Like with me I ALWAYS let the other guy go first. But as soon as he starts to go I'm going as well.
