I'm surprised at that as well

I've seen a few 1.8t's running, and they can be very fast, even from stock. Sure it was the 180hp version? I wasn't aware the KA24 could pull that hard

MONKEYMAGIC: I've kept my GTI stock and I plan on keeping it that way until the warranty runs out (this summer). I want to put on a chip (probably GIAC or ABD/ADB whatever its called) and I will attempt to save up for a turbo later on. Hopefully, I can find some reasonably priced parts that will give me some decent hp, but its tough when you have the VR6 (most chips will only give you 6-10hp, most intakes will give you about 3hp if your lucky, and the exhaust will give you around 5-10, but some reduce torque).

i seen alot of VR6's that people modify with either superchargers or another engine in the back and both have superchargers.

But supercharging seems to be the norm for VW's

Dude, unless you have a turbo or some major modifications to your car the jetta if in fact is a 2002 would beat you. He has a 7.3 0-60 while on the other hand you stock have a 8.3 sec 0-60. Both stock. Feel free to tell me what mods you have so that I can account those in to your car and speed.

Im not too sure how this all happened considering i drive an Escape with the 3.0L engine. he said his engine gets about 250 HP while mine is only 201 HP.
anyways, a nice night out

I call BS

The 2002 180hp 1.8T does 0-60 7.3 and the 1/4 low 15s. Your escape is nowhere near that.

5 thread is not every thread.

He is full of shit, no question about it. Even an auto 1.8T with the worst driver would walk him. No other way about it. Unless the escape was AWD and it was snowing
