Now you must use a tight lobe sep for everything to work right. not the wide pattern normally found in fi and stuff. So far i have had really good luck with the siamesing. Everyone that i ever mentioned this to said the car would NOT start. When i got the car together today, the car started on the first piston that fired. If , if i lose some bottom end, i will stall it hence i was going to put a 3000 rpm in it anyway.lol. What good is 25 more ft lbs of torque if a forth gen camaro ss is going to wipe ur @$$ at the other end. I will test the trap speed again and see if i had gained any.

WOAH...A degree lsa!??? That's pretty extreme, don't you think? I am running a 110 right now and my car lopes A LOT. Idle is pretty damn rough on my 110. I used to run a 114 on my first hydro cam, and then a 112 on my second. Moved down to the 110 only when I put in the solid. I would also think that a 106 would have problems starting and staying alive...Got any sound clips? I bet it sounds like a top fuel

The Ford 302 heads are not great but better than Chevy 305 heads. Thing that seperates the 2 blocks the most is Ford's use of a roller cam with a much better profile than any Gm cam through the 80's and reduced friction. While GM stayed with a flat tappet cam until the LT-1.

I think you should just go 350 shopping unless you got a real hard-on for the 305 though

I ran a crane 100082 cam in my 305 formula and all the mods were a 1989 corvette chip. The specs were 226 @ .050,.470 lift and 106 lobe sep andground 5 degees advanced. Yes it idled like a stock car @ 500. very rough. around 6 inches of vacuum. it did run a bit better. i still have the cam. i am going to put it in my iroc
