RIOT1, you CAN NOT drift in a front wheel drive car. sure you can slide your ass end around but your not drifting. here's a pic from the first site you linked to. I'd like to see you do this in a fwd car.
in a front wheel drive car you cant really control it around the corner very well. with a rear wheel drive car you can apply more or less gas to adjust the angle you slide at. fwd you are just pulling the ebrake and sliding around a corner

I've drifted my 5250lb 4x4 Truck through a parking lot before... its also turning 33" tires.

Fun times

I'd like to see a video of a FWD car doing a successful drift... If anybody knows of one... link us up.

I don't think some people realize how that works. How is the rear part of your car supposed to drift if the wheels aren't spinning?Even if you have a 20000hp fwd car it doesn't differ from a 150hp car.I've seen a FWD car attemt that, and just like expected from me and my RWD friends the part of the car that was inside the curve lift up from the ground and the guy almost had an accident.

Well, I have a FWD and I could say that it's almost impossible to drift a FWD and so far I have not been able to drift with a FWD, but I have with a RWD a couple times before. Sliding and skidding with a FWD are possibilities cuz I've done it countless times before. Anyone with a FWD who claims that they were drifting with it was just sliding the rear end. One thing is clear and that is:

FWD DRIFTING = ASS DRAGGING

Need I say more?

THANK YOU!! that's exactly the point

RIOT1, if you want to be ignorant of the pure facts and insist that you can drift with your FWD, then go ahead and insist, but you'll be the only one that thinks that. we all know the truth.

sigh i suggest you Recite the terminology of the word drift.

i dont know where you people come from but in my country, its getting your car sideways, be that "ASS DRAGGING"

as i said before i think you people wont move off the terms "Power Sliding"

yes i know a FWD car cannot Power slide around a corner ( unless you want to severely understeer and go the opposite way )

The argument was "Can a FWD car drift"
The answer is yes, with a single given technique
If it was "Can a FWD car Powerslide" The answer would be no.

I am not being ignorant, i suggest you to stop being so critical of the situation, and look at it from the technical point of view,

J Spec Sileghty, yes a FWD can do that S bend just fine!

ASS DRAGGING IS NOT DRIFTING!!! E-BRAKING IS NOT DRIFTING!!! POWERSLIDING IS DRIFTING!! so therefore, FWD can NOT DRIFT!!!

Hey riot you tried one of them TORNADO turbines that goes into your intake to give you over 35hp?You seem like the kind of guy who'd belive that.

S bend with a FWD car,i wanna see you do that without loosing speed.Actually i wanna see you do that at all.
