Hi and tanks for your replys.

The beetle will exactly be like this one:

The wheel arches of the trailer will be blue too . Like on the Beetle.

About comparison: I have the two kits at home, I sincerely prefer the Tamiya one but when I began on it I had'nt bought it yet.
Tamiya: opening trunk, engine, better interior details (dashboard, ...),...
BUT
Hasegawa is more accurate on the general shape of the car, Tamiya looks more like a 1303.

Hi all,

during my holidays I haven't only worked on the Golf III. I also worked on the beetle and the trailer.

Everybody like pics, I give you pics.

I have nearly finished the dashboard. There is just some BMF to put on the dashboard and steeringwheel. I also have to put the decals.

The seats have been airbrushed with white , masked and airbrushed with blue-grey ( both acrylics ). I still have to paint it with Oil Painting ( Winsor&Newton) to give it a smooth look.

The carpets have been painted and glued on the chassis. The chassis is waiting his seats.

The wheels have been painted and glued, the chrome part is glued too.

I have created the sunvisors with plasticard, it still need to be painted.

The panels have also been airbrushed with white and grey. The baby-blue border is the body color.

A zoom on the right Mc Pherson, painted in Monroe color with a Monroe decal ( not visible here )

The body is primed.

And some pics of the Teardrops Trailer.

Wheels have also been painted, glued, added chrome part, ...

The new roof is glued ( I had problems with the first one)

and a closer shot of the front.

because it seems that people prefer my Golf III to this project. Why don't you like it?

I think its one of the most creative projects on the forum. It really shows the skills you have in scratchbuilding. Its so very detailed too. Great job.

Great work! I love that sort of thing. Great interior on the trailer, looks like you've put hella work into it. You might inspire me to get back to work on my racecar trailer diorama thing that I started a while back.

That's some incredible scratchbuilding there! Very, very nice!
Will you put some bags/stuff on the roof rack?

Thanks for your kind comments guys
I feel better now that I know some people love it

To Pille:

On the roof rack I'll put a Coca-Cola Coolbox, a case and Empi and Okrasa boxes.
Empi and Okrasa are great manufacturers of VW performance parts.
