Looks really nice, fabulous finish and the detail work on the black trim looks perfect.

Good eyes, Micha. Yeah the door handles were molded in one piece on the body. I think it's one of those little things that seperates a true top tier kit from a decent second. I had though about doing the surgery to fix it, but to be honest if I had the body still wouldn't be painted. So, I've done my best to ignore it. But if that's the only flaw you find, I'll take it as high praise.

As for the wheels, they measure out to 0.760". X 24 = 18.24, minus an inch and a half for the lip and they're 17" wheels. I think that's about right for this car- in 1990 anything larger than 17" was almost unheard of. The spoke size is a bit narrow for 964 cup wheels, though.



Oh well, I figure maybe it shows off the brakes a bit better.

Martin- I want to say that I've seen a Revell 993, but have never gotten my hands on one. Shame, as it's probably my favorite of the 911's- certainly of the modern ones.

I was looking for a simple project to start the new year, and a Fujimi curbside was my first choice.

Very, very , very cool looking model you got there! Lovely shine on the paintjob and it looks very cool for a low-involvement model.

As you said, too bad it's not a 993!
Oh, in case you should ever find a 993 (or even for me), i have done some stuffs on the rims you found in your 964 kit(as I have it too). I combined them with outer rings from OZ futura rims and got this result.




Eitherway, a superlovely model, I tried looking for flaws, couldn't find any.

Actually, not really--it might have been original for a 964, but it is very close to the candy-apple red/burgundy color available on the hallowed 993. If I were to get a 993 turbo, I would surely paint it this color.

Model looks great (except for door handles, and headlight lenses look a little weird). I love seeing these as I am a Porsche fanatic (perhaps my avatar indicates this). I have never done Porsche work this good--my first Stuttgart model was a Fujimi Enthusiast Series kit with 150+ parts.
