Re: www.automotiveforums.com

I mainly post here. But have posted in R/C cars section and will wander into the Rally section in Racing.

Re: www.automotiveforums.com

I do sometimes wonder how this forum got so popular with Car Modeling people as this forum is a bit tucked away. Also the automotive forums main site is not really somewhere I would immediatley go when looking for car modeling sites. But I suppose its a fast forum and has the capabilities to handle a large number of posts. Anyway in answer to your question no I do not visit other forums I find them too broad also I am mainly interested in european cars.

Well in my case (three years ago) I googled something like 'car+modeling' and the first 3 entries were from this forum.
As for reply to the thread... I've only been to a jeep subforum.. and that was cause someone mis-copied p-man's painting how-to link..

Re: www.automotiveforums.com

I voted no in the poll as I only frequent the model section of AF, I also agree about the " search " function, it really is abysmal, unless you know exactly what you're looking for you have then got quite a hard task ahead of you, and as for newbies, weren't we all newbies at some stage in our development, so I think a bit more patience and understanding is needed by some of the more seasoned posters out there in AF land.

I too found this forum a few years ago when searching Google for "Model car forums" I have been hooked ever since all though I hate to see alot of good modelers not here anymore. maybe it's me but I have not seen near the amount of quality builders we once had but I do come here in spurts so again it could just be me missing more of the "good stuff"

Re: www.automotiveforums.com

I certainly don't hang out anywhere else. The AF Car Modeling page is my homepage also. I do venture beyond the car modeling forum occasionally, mostly for maintainence advice when working on 1:1's. I've found other forums here to be just as useful and helpful as this one. So unless my wife's car is misfiring, I'm usually here.

Funny, but not completely un-true.
I've posted in other sections and seldom had I gotten more than a single reply.
