People, including the GF, say "bouncy" and I'm going to assume you mean one of 2 things. Either the car is very stiff as it should be or youcan have what is known as oscillation due to weakend shocks. Remember the old shock test where you would push down and see how many times it would go up/down? THis is a real sign of failure for any type of shock/strut.
I agree with others that the best way to redo a suspension is to do it complete. That means shocks, springs/coilovers and any bushings that are worn. (New car-bushings usually OK) Our CRX is getting Skunk2 sleeves and Koni "yellow" shocks along with ES bushings in the rear. Both sway bars will also be rebushed and linked. My 96 Civic HB was redone this way and after 2 full years of daily driving is perfect-just stiff. The 99 Prelude was redone but no bushings as they were not worn adn the car sees no real track time. The point is simple--save up if you have to and then do everything at the same time. You will save on labor, get the right parts, after doing a lot of research like I did, and the car will be better for it overall.:flash:
