locking problem

I have the same problem but it did not start until after my security system stopped working. Also, my doors did not lock before the alarm went out. I can't find any blown fuses or bad wiring.

Assuming you have a factory system, and that the G20s use the same bits as the Primeras, my Haynes manual shows that the security system consists of some relays (3) piggy-backed onto the door lock timer we've been talking about. It's probably still located in the kick panel but might be on the other side in your car. I'd say thats where the problem is. Try clean up the harnesses in there if you haven't already - otherwise you may have to replace something in there. Good luck and please post what you find..... it may help others

Oops! Forgot to mention, if you have keyless entry you may have another unit piggy-backed onto the door lock timer control unit rather than the 3 relays. Haynes shows this system fitted to "Estate" model Primeras (Station Wagons).

Unfortunately, my Haynes manual contains nothing more about these components beyond where they are located.
