Yeah on the high way i can keep up with a LS with no problem. As for the shifting part i was testing out where to shift at and i guess 7k is the best place to shift. Well guys im STUCK with this RS. I went to the 2gnt.com website and alot of RS guys there have turbos. =p Well like Jakes 420a hitting 12's that good enough for me not unless that is a bunk time slip. But yeah i want to stroke my motor. My car looks fast but its reallly slow haha. I seen this gut with the same gold 96 RS and he had his basic mods... i reved at him and he didnt even want to race. Im guessing he knew his RS was slow haha but the thing was i had a RS too. But no way of telling unless you race me because i took off all the stickers. F.Y.I. As for my 96 RS i got it basically for free from my dad. It belong to a family friend and they blew the motor and so they offered it to my dad for $700. So $700 dollars + 1200 = RS for free!!! but yeah =p.

Was this an actual track time for the 1/4 mile? Just curious as to how your 0-60 time is 2 seconds slower than a stock gst and the 1/4 mile time is the same?

just to let u know, u should to go www.hahnracecraft.com , there is a stage 1 and 2 turbo kit for ur RS, with just stage 1($2,500), ull be a FULL secound and half faster then a gs-t, and with stage 2($3,500) ull be running high 13's.......sorry but saying with a few grand ull be running low 15's is bullshit......and mabye u should get smaller rims lolz, 18" are kinda big to be racing on without alotta hp....GOODLUCK =D

well yeah smaller tims might help out. But i was thinking about 19" volk rays TE37 or even 20's lol w/ the 3000gt widebodykit =P. And for the speed... that will be pointless... but i heard the Volk rims are really light weight. Japan spec rims man! But yeah with that hahns turbo stage 2 that should do me well because im planning on putting a 2.2 stroker... so maybe high 12's? but yeah thats by next year. Im saving all my money right now so by next year i should have it ready. =)

Why spend a couple grand on volks? They're awesome rims, but not what you need. At this point a turbo kit is the way to spend that money.

lol whateva it was..... i guess it was a GT.. thats the one i drove...... but a heard poeple talking about a GS Verison with a turbo.... my mistake... but im gona get that car....in the next 2 months or so... heh... i need a new car.............

The only versions of the GS model with a turbo were the 90-99 eclipses.

I think you are misinformed. You will not be 1.5 seconds faster than a stock gs-t with stage 1. Stage 1 gets you to about the same hp level of a stock gs-t, maybe 10 hp more. I don't see how that makes you over a second faster, unless you do some monster weight reduction or something. Stop throwing out rediculous numbers pretending to know what your talking about.

Plus, if you put that same $2.5k into a gs-t, you would kill any RS-T pretty easily, unless it had a completely built up motor with over 5k into it. Simple as that.

The other thing you should keep in mind is weight reduction. I've driven the 01 EX civics and the LS integra's. I'm sure that you can put out more power than a stock civic or teg the problem is that you weigh a lot more. Try finding anything lightweight that you can replace like fenders, pulleys, intake, exaust, seats, glass, ect. Other than that your looking at lots of motor work and a turbo. Good luck!

well yeah thats my goal is to build my motor up first. So by that time i have my motor fully built and tuned im throwing in a turbo. so far i sent out my intake mani to get ported adn gasketmatch and also my head to have a 5 angle job done with over sized valves. total cost of labor... $600. http://catalog.exileracing.com/ thats where i sent it to. I drove the 4 cyl version of the 06 and it wasn't bad but i'd much rather have the v6 and hope they make a turbo/supercharger. I have a n/t 97 talon right now and it's slow but i'm not into drag racing...anyone can hit the gas/launch their car and whoever has the fastest car is going to win most of the time. Now driving on a road that has turns and stuff takes a little more skill...I can keep up with a friends 96 mustang GT on a road around here with no problems. And yeah you're better off not racing a Grand Prix GTP, that car looks like a slow car but my dad has the GT version and it smokes me....I can't imagine how bad I would lose against a GTP. I'm going more for the show and not the go with this car though...when I get out of college i'll be getting a new GTO or eclipse though

Umm why spend 2500 for a kit, and god knows how much to actully get it up and running 14's thats just gay. shut your whole and realize, the 420a is a fucking waste of space, and not worth ever pumping money into it and making fast.

sigh, reading this post has restarted my "i wanna sell my fuckin car" fire that was extinguished by my parents not to long ago. Come October, when the clock strikes midnight for my birthday I'm puttin my damn RS up for sale, lol. Oh well, atleast the ladies like lookin at it...I don't know how you're gettin smoked by Civics man, I've raped a good number of em in my RS seat time. My car may not be fast, but like I always say, it'll put away cars that shouldn't be raced in the first place

I smoked him on a roll start.. i had the lead and then he caugh up and was half a car in front of me. Once my 3rd gear kicks in i pull past him and that was it. But off the light i lose... and it seemd like my car needs alot of long roads to wind because my car wont gun for shit. I loss ALOT of torque when i did a 2.5" all the way thrugh with no Cat. =p But yeah i do want to sell it. Im asking $6k but i will lower it down. =p Hopefully a school boy sees my eclipse and tells his parents about it. Lol
