I agree. For me, I usually make a basic outline shape using styrene before applying any putty. Less putty is better as you can add bit by bit to get the desired shape rather than put a lot and waste most of it trying to get the desired shape.

Are you using the green putty by Squadron? I'm using the white one and I have no problem with it. For small gaps I usually mix it a bit with industrial thinner to make it softer so that it can get into it. I usually apply bit by bit using a small flathead screwdriver dipped in thinner (wierd huh? but I usually do it like this and it works!).

I suggest you to save your CF decal for other builds and try to correct the hood (if you want to). Just my suggestion.

Other than that, I think your build is good. Not favouring the gold though. Need to do the window trim. Overall, a good try.

P/S: Is it the picture or lighting or is it me because the rear hood looks a bit rough.

green putty sux first of all... its the crappiest stuff ever... stick with tamiya even tho it cost 2 to 3 times as much... quality is 500% better... n' i think you mixed teh green putty with water.. n' thas why its all clumpy...you'll improve next time.. nice subaru tho i always wanted to make 1

Interior painting looks a little disorderly ( gold places ) and on the rearward hood are some notch.
But all over details is nice.

The trunk lid is wierd because I was going to make a duckbill type spoiler, but I ended up giving up and I had to sand the putty dowm on that also.

U shouldn't customize your first builds...you should wait until u have more experience...

First off, this isn't my first build, this was my first time at puttying.

Okay, let me first say, take it easy on the putty. Second, did you sand the hood at all? Did you even paint the car? It doesn't look like you did. And you need to take it easy with the gold paint pens, sharpies, whatever it is. Sharpies do not make the world go round my friend. The hood just needs some work, and the interior, get rid of the gold insets, gold headlights, gold license plate section, & gold foglamps. The gold rims look good on a WRX. Sand the hood a lot until that bad boy is smoooooth, then you paint. But you know that. I ain't dissin' you, I'm just saying, it needs some work. The funny thing is, not to be mean, but, I've seen a hell of a lot worse... I've seen widebody kits extend from New York, to China. And they weren't even smooth!!
