Also if you read my feedback to him you will see it actually says I have proof that I paid & that I turned him into ebay for fraud, I didnt say he defrauded me, not yet anyway. The only real response I got from him was him asking me to send him the actuall money order recipt to him so he can "check into it", that wont be happening. He even went as far as to say if I send him the reciept he will send me my $35.50 and the kit as a gift, so I told him to show some good faith to me and send me the kit. Then I would gladly send him the reciept and anything else he wants, but he wont do that. He has even offered to give me a refund, the kit and pay the fees the bank fees for either canceling the money order or information as to where the MO was cashed at, but he will only do this if I send him the reciept first. To me that that sounds abit fishy. I dont think I should have to do everything myself since I sent him a picture of the money order already made out to him (which I always do when I pay for something off ebay or buy something from someone). There are still a couple more options left even though I think its going abit to far but I will if I have to turn him into the FTC and the Internet Fraud Agency which ebays offers but I'm hoping that it doesnt go that far
There are really only two possibilities here:

1. He never received the payment.
2. He received the payment and has decided not to send you the goods and steal your mony.

In my experience, 1 is far more likely than 2 (and in the experience of over 97% of people who have dealt with him). Realistically you have to go through the route of establishing if the money order was cashed. As far as I know, the only money order you could have sent is an International one from the Post Office? I didn't think there was a charge from them to establish if it has been cashed or not, but even if there is it is the only way you will know definitively know what has happened.

His feedback, is actually quite decent given the number of auctions he runs and sales that he makes.

Moral of this story however is....

Always use Paypal.

Well I posted a pic of the money order so that should be proof enuff that I paid for it, just look at the date and amount and to me 83 negatives in the last 6 months isnt to good of record specaily since there all about the same thing not recieveing or slow shipping. Also if you add his negatives and neutrals from this month alone and figure it out thats 1/10th of his sales that are having problems which I dont think is really that good.

Re: Possible trouble on ebay

that proves you got the money order.
it doesn't prove you sent it.
nor does it prove that he got it.

that is why you use paypal.

strange how people don't really complain when it's hlj taking 2 months to send something
but
when it's a guy doing things by himself (maybe) you give him shit.

Well I havent ordered from hjl before so I wouldnt know about that, as for giving him"shit" I dont know what you mean by that but if its what I think I dont believe so. I have been as nice as possible, I've emailed him and such trying to resolve this. With him asking for the actual reciept, offering to give me my money back plus a free kit as a gift just makes it seem fishy (maybe thats just me). I mean if I bought the money order why wouldnt I send it to him, it doesnt make sense to me but then I guess there are some people out there like that. I will be useing paypal for sure from now on if I buy from overseas again.

Re: Possible trouble on ebay

let's put this into perspective.
he has over the past 12 months received over 3000 counts of feedback.
it equates to something like 10 items sent every day.
his record shows that maybe 2-3 % of those don't reach their buyer; that is 3 kits out of every 100.
that's not bad.

i mean, you have a negative listed in your feedback.
according to the details/percentages involved, you are not much more reliable than him.

don't forget that as well as him having to receive the thing, he also has to get the thing (or try to get the thing) cashed at a bank.
if it's not a generally/worldwide accepted money order it can take ages.
heck, it take me ten days to get money from a hk hsbc bank to a uk hsbc bank AND that's just operating from one network to another within the same bank.

Re: Possible trouble on ebay

I've bought 2 kits from him on a really low price and i received them without any problem.
The shipping was slow but i did now that by the replies he got, and for me there was no hurry to get the kits.

i paid with paypal

Just wondering why wouldn't you pay with paypal ?

Paypal is your friend.
Never ever buy from a seller overseas.
Always check the feedback before you buy.
Things get lost in the mail.

These are my personal rules that work for me. I see so many deals from sellers overseas but there feedback always shows that some buyers never recieved their stuff, not that this is the sellers fault, I blame the postal system. You are trusting several people to get your money order to the seller and he is relying on several people to get the stuff to you. Both parties probably speak different languages so mistakes are bound to happen. I think you should chalk it up to experience and move on. Just my

Mike.

Re: Possible trouble on ebay

Have the money order stopped refunded, if it hasn't been cashed. If its cashed, then he screwed you, because he was the only one that could cash it. Little tip on using ebay is to check the feedback first and also try avoiding sending out payments. Use paypal, i had this happen to me, i know it sucks bro, Hopefully everything works out.

Re: Possible trouble on ebay

I dealt with this guy and he kept saying the item was getting returned to him. After 44 days had went buy since I purchased the model through paypal. I filed a claim against him. Then he posted a "fake" tracking number and said he would give me a refund after I told him the number did not work. Well I emailed paypal about this and he never refunded my money and finally they filed the claim in my favor and I got my money back. I def. do not recommend that anyone buys from him. I hope everything works out for you. Good Luck.

I finally got his contact info from ebay, so I tried to call him. Low & behold his phone number (0036017018) is no longer in service (go figure). Anyway the main thing here that makes me think hes trying to screw me & the others over is his insistance that I send him the actual MO reciept. He keeps saying that if I send him that, he will refund my money and give me the kit as a gift. Who would lose out on $71.00 USD plus a kit? Now come on why else would he want the reciept? If I sent it to him I couldnt turn it over to ebays fraud department (safeharbor) and then i'm really screwed. Also has anyone else noticed that in the location part it says hes located in "Hong Kong UK" & says its being shipped from "Hong Kong UK". I could be mistaken but isnt Honk Kong in Japan and not in UK? Anyway theres to many discrepencies with all of this just to be a mistake.

Re: Possible trouble on ebay

So have you called the phone number on the money order stub that you have to see if it has actually been cashed yet?

Yes. I called the company today and they said it takes up to 90 days to tell if its been cashed or longer since it was sent out of the country. So right now he could have cashed it but that wouldnt show up in thier system for almost another 2 months or so.
