they are not meant to be fast...They have old man gearing. with the right gearing you could make it go faster. Also the suspension on the car is really loss so that u get a nice confortable ride really not made to do like street racing or anything with it. Truthfully its an old mans car.

Thumbs up avalons are pretty quick

I have a 95 avalon and I must say that I have surprised a few people. The gear ratio on the avalon is shorter than the V6 camry so the old man gearing statement is wrong. The car also doesn't weigh much more than the camry but it has more HP and more torque (195 + 210). With this car I have hit 130 and that was while walking down a auto maxima.
