I'd definantley put a diesel at the top of the list namely the Duramax since Ive seen first hand what they could do. When my brother ran his his with I,E,ECU trapped around 90ish, and he ran a 14.2. Top six off the top of my head.

Duramax Diesel
Cummins Turbo Diesel
Powerstroke Diesel
Any merecedes AMG (the 4000lb+ ones)
Supras
VR4's

You can get nitrous for diesels too, I was checking out bully dog on stuff for my dads truck and they have nitrous kits that work on diesels, they also have propane. http://www.bullydog.com/products.pl?...Injection-F-E-

Re: Name 10 of the REALLY heavy but high potential street racing machines

Not to be a prick or anything, but how do you figure an H2 fits into the same list with 4 of the Japanese heavy hitters? H2 might be REALLY heavy, but there is no way in hell I would even joke about it being a 'high potential street racing machine'.

On top of that, regarding the imports on your list...you have the
wrx at ~ 3,000lbs
vr4 at ~ 3,800lbs
evo 8 ~ 3,300lbs

So if you are considering 3,000 'heavy' it prevents pretty much anything with more than a 4 cylinder engine from being 'light'. Like I said, I'm not trying to be a prick, but you really really are asking quite a broad question. Was there something more specific you were wondering/interested in?

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.

How about the Thunderbird? Heavy, (Its classified as a "personal luxury coupe"), has the 96-98 Mustang GT Engine, IRS... The 94 NPI 4.6 doesnt have a big aftermarket tho..I'd know..lol

Or the Lincoln Mark VII...Has the 87-93 Mustang GT engine, 225 HP. Basically anything that would work on the 5.0 Mustang motor, works on this...its the rich mans Mustang..

Even the Lincoln Mark VIII. Has the DOHC 4.6L (yes...the Cobra motor, with softer internals) Its good for 280 HP in LSC trim, and 265 (?) in non LSC form. Comes with factory air ride suspension too. Decent aftermarket.
He's running both propane and nitrous. The propane tank was mounted underneath the truck and the nitrous bottle was behind the seat. I knew he was going to be rolling due to the turbo upgrade, full fuel system upgrade, propane, nitrous, tuning, traction bars, fully built tranny and those big ass exhaust stacks stuck out of the bed. Hell, he's got so much more money tied up in that thing that my truck has.
I can't wait to be there the day that motor finally gives up on him though. They can only take SO much, and it will give up on him.

His trap was pretty damn good, all things considering. It was somewhere in the 109-111mph range.

At what weight would a car be considered heavy? I think we need to narrow this down more.

I personally consider 3500lbs to be the cutoff. In that case...
1>'90+300zxTT automatic
2>Pontiac Catalina
3>Lexus SC300
4>'95 Lincoln Mark VIII Lsc
5>Chevrolet Impalla SS
6>''98 Grand Cherokee 5.9
7>BMW 7 series
8>'98 Cadilac STS
9>Volvo 850 turbo wagon(friggin awesome)
10>Chevrolet S-10

It was easy to think of heavy cars that haul but the tough part is making them creative and affordable. The only reason the 300zx made the list is because I plan to buy one, but I hadn't seen it mentioned yet.

I wasn't serious with the Hummer H2. But yeah, I just wanted to see everybody's opinion, that's all. Its nothing specific, but I was just curious.
