WOW!! I didn't think many people would care about most of these wheels. I guess I'll be taking some pictures this weekend! LOL! The majority of these wheels were ordered off of www.hlj.com.

A few of you know that the 80's imports bug has bit me so I decided to stock up on some wheels, more wheels than I have cars. Well, most of you know already that the wheels tend to be small. But I will tell you the XR4s are absolutely awesome. I gambled on that when I ordered them as I ordered three sets knowing that there was a chance that they may not be big as I would want them. Trust me on this one, the XR4s are perfect for any old school model.



Someone mentioned they loved the 1:1 Impuls? The 1:24 Impuls are nice and are slightly smaller in diameter compared to the RS Watanabes but they are extremely wide and come with race slicks. I didn't expect that, but I'm trying to trim them down so they will fit the tire width of the RS Watanabes that come with the standard AE86 kit. I'm trying to replicate my 1:1 ride:




As for the rest of them, the SSR MKII, MKIII, Advan A3A, and the Shadow spoke, they are the same width as the standard RS Watanabe wheels but are roughly 13in on scale. I personally would have rather had them the exact size of the RS Watanabe (15 inch on scale?) but they still look okay since alot of old school cars had tiny wheels anyway. You may not agree, but in either case, that's the way they were produced in 1:24 scale. I didn't want to reveal what I was working on just yet but I feel seeing the wheels on an actual model would be helpful for those of you deciding to purchase these wheels. Again, they are tiny, but they are really nicely detailed. Here's what I've been working on (rear wheel is the SSR MKII with the "balloon" tires it came with ).




I'll take pictures of the other ones (Aoshima NSII, Formula Mesh (it says FOMULA on the box ), Impul FZ, etc) this weekend for you guys. Hope what I said already helps you guys out. Have a nice day!

HEY where'd you get the sparco NS-II's?? i want a set!! haha. i just got my advans in yesterday. they come with a huge decal sheet with a bunch of bosozoku stickers. hey ceej do you have a pic of the techno shadows? i'd like to see how they look. and how's the width on the MKII and MKIII? are they super wide or standard? just wondering because the previous releases of the impuls, MKI, MKII, and MKIII were super wide.

They are about the same width as the RS Watanabes that come with corolla models. Good to see you back on here again!

Doesn't look like it. We have to convince Aoshima to release the entire Nostalgia wheel line.

I measured the ones i have, and i think they are 15'' and not 13. And i'd love to see aftermarket tires for those wheels as well. Those which come with the XR4 are better, but still too high to my taste

I'll meet'cha half way and say they are 14in on scale. Deal? LOL It's more the size of the tire that bothers me than the rim size on those SSR and Advan wheels.

rats!!! so what's the point of me ordering those rims. thought they come with stretchwall tires, that's why i ordered in the first place. oh well... might try making my own stretchwall tires.

Sweet! I have found some of those wheels on GT4 too! I have the Longchamps XR-4's on my EG Civic SIR-II and the SSR MK-II on my CRX SiR Man those rims are nice! I want some!
