Re: Progress: 1950 Ford COE

I dont think you could call it prototypical because GMC made a couple trucks like this.

Cool, Odd and a bit scarry!
Maybe a stake-side extension on the bed would help the proportions.

The sense of "prototypical" I'm using I've lifted from model railroaders. I am trying to get it to catch on in the model car community, too, as I find it very useful. It means following the prototype of the real thing, instead of being a one of a kind or one-off (which would be a custom, I guess). A prototypical locomotive would be one that was true to the one it was replicating in scale. In fact, one manufacturer introduced its premium line under the name "Proto 2000" to capitalize on the word.

The racers wedge may look cool behind that cab!
But it looks cool as a slammer too..
I was going to say the same thing about the Racers Wedge.

Made some progress today! Not much but I did get the top chopped!! I do have another chassis and will mock up a few other ideas. Here is a picture of the chop, just sitting on the cab not molded in yet:

Feedback and comments welcome! OL' DUDE

Here is another quick update, got the top sectioned and pillars lined up. Now I have to finish smoothing out the roof and then its bodywork time!! I can only work a hour or two because I have a few pinched nerves in my neck!!!!!!!!! The chop gives this COE a whole new look! Heres a few pics:
