There's a notch like that in my area with the tires, racing stripes, and everyone says it walks on vettes, but he couldn't get my my notch last year, running high 13's. People sometimes overestimate. To run 13's, he probably has all bolt-ons, gears, and that crazy tranny. Not a big N2O fan.

5 liters are not hard to get into the low 13s, sounds like your underestimating them

Oh I know, since we have one running 13's. As long as the engine is in good shape (ours is rebuilt), it takes bolt-ons and maybe gears, and the ability to not roast the tires off upon launching. Just the basics, lots of potential.

T-56 swaps into a 5.0 are pretty easy, starting to become more popular and companies like D&D make it even easier selling complete conversion kits.

With a T-56, the right gears in the back cause of the flexiblility of the T-56's 5th and 6th gear for highway driving, and tires that can stick on a hard launch.... a fresh stock motor 5.0 notch could definetly get into high 13's.

So he might have a lot less mods than you think he does maybe just a few little bolts.
