no offense, but internet speed is no excuse whatsoever for user carelessness

thats what you get for opening a file as soon as its downloaded rather than saving it to disk and having a virus scanner check it before you run it

that was your own fault.. not your internet connection's fault

I had AT&T cable. Now I'm on 1.5 (1.5 down / 384 up) line sharing.

here in massachusetts we are in the middle of a technology sector. My mom and dad's house both have cable internet and all the computers networked through a router. It is wierd. I would say my parents are nerds but my mom is a minister (my dad is a nerd though, no question about it)

what makes you a geek (like me) is when your router is a software router running linux

VideoNasty and i have a total of 4 machines, including the software router

Megatron: the router, linux, 64M ram, p233MMX, overclocked to 263Mhz
Optimus: the POS 486 laptop with 36M ram, used as a secondary system (and for bringing data on trips), Win95 OSR2
Gigatron: VideoNasty's Workstation, P2-400 with 192M ram, Win 98 (original)
Starscream: My workstation, P3-750 with 256M ram Win 98 SE
