Re: 69 Yenko Camaro

just a suggestion, i would maybe paint the oil pan silver chrome by testors, it would give it a lil more detail and also taek a tooth pic and hit the tip of it in some silver and paint the bolts on the trans, that will give it even more detail , i would paint every bolt and alon with ur oil pan silver chrome.

Ok, another weekend, some more work completed...

As I will be fitting brake lines on this one, I added small brackets to the rear chassis rail, for the cable to go through. Also drilled a small hole in the front chassis for the E-brake cable to pass through, though you can not see it....

Also fitted the little brake valve to the top left of the 12-bolt (from Perrys Resin-beautiful).Sorry about this crappy pic...

Also tried my hand at a "factory overspray" on the chassis.Kinda tricky with a rattle can, but it looks ok.And now you have an idea on the colour.Interior will be black or white...??

Thanks for lookin, more here at Fotki.

cheers stump

Yenko.......in here.....

whoops! guess I missed this one. Incredible detailing as usual. When are you going to drop the ball and make an awful Model? Keep up the good work.

I'm back, with another small update....

First up,
blueboost, yeah, this one is the Revell Yenko kit, though I also have the AMT kit from 2F2F, comes a poor second IMHO....

Bloodhound,

hopefully that wont happen, but ya never know.....

Okay, only been slow progress here, mainly painting and detailing.
The body has recieved a couple of coats of metallic green, no clear as yet.I'll add the stripes before clearing.

Managed to get the grill thinned without breaking it, that was fun..NOT.
Still have the hide-away headlights to add yet.

Also brushed on a bit more weathering under the chassis, little bit of brown/rust around some of the areas that usually build up, probly needs a bit more, I'll add some more later....

There are a couple more pics at Fotki.
Hopefully, I'll get a bit more done this week....

Yenko progress

Thanks for lookin', comments welcome.
Cheers stump

Hi, just a couple of better pics of the Yenko 69 Camaro.

I made up some coil springs for the front, and fitted some shocks as well, just small diam. rod, painted grey.Bit hard to see....

So, the front end is nearing completion. Will add the brakes and wheels once its all together...
Also, just a pic checking it's stance, gotta get the right look...

Have also dragged the BM Corvette back out to do some more on it...
I've been waiting on decals for the stripes, seeing as I stuffed up trying to paint them on.....
It doesn't look too bad in the pics,..but, the curves on the rear deck are a real pain to get right....so, decals it is.Should have 'em on soon.

It's painted in Tam. Lt.Blue Metallic.I added the flared guards with strip plastic and putty.Wheels are from the kit, widened to suit, with some "old" BFG tyres. The motor has MCG dizzy and linkage detail on the gearbox.

More pics here....
stumps stuff

More soon hopefully....
cheers stump

Re: 69 Yenko Camaro

Joel Rosen (one of the people responsible for the 1:1 B-M cars) would be very proud to own that Vette!! The Camaro is shaping up to be a contest winner!!
