69 Yenko Camaro

Hi gang,
Started on this recently, got some pics today.....

One of America's finest, IMHO..TUFF, from the factory.

I hope to detail this one fairly well, I've practiced on the 68,...LOL

So far, the motor has received quite a bit of P/e, MCG distributor kit, pulley set and belt, fan set.The 850 cfm Holley is from Perrys Resin, as is the 12-Bolt rear end.
I had to fabricate the alternator bracket and bolted (pinned) it to the head, a bit tricky, but I think it looks ok..
The chassis will have the "open" look front rails boxed up, to look more realistic.I'll be running a fuel line from a tank mounted pump. Also hope to fit my first E-brake cables....

Colour will be..........

Anyway, enough rambling, here's the pics

There's a couple more at Fotki

Cheers stump

The headers go below the wires...

yea dude i know that im not stupid, but the wire are too far down the wires need to be moved up more for the headers to go right under the valve covers, ur not supposed to have that much room between the valve cover and the exhaust headers. i know engine dude i work around them all the time

Re: 69 Yenko Camaro

You all missed the fact that the valve cover (On the side pictured anyway) is on upside down. Big block chevy's have 7 valve cover bolts, 3 on the top and 4 on the bottom. That pic on that side shows 3 on the bottom.

Other then that it is INCREDIBLE!!

Thanks for the comments guys...

Tommycool666, yeah, its not a good angle to see the plug wires well enough, but there is sufficient space between each for the headers..
Going by my reference, the plugs are quite low, maybe an inch, inch and a half above where the head bolts to the block..

Orion37170, you mean the fuel fittings ? They are from "Modellers", if I'm correct.Got them through HLJ of Japan..

ONEBADMK8......doh......don't I feel like a d/head.....thanks for pointing that out mate, not paying enough attension. It has been fixed..LOL

More soon hopefully

Cheers stump
