Hmmm... years ago I had an old beaten up TA22 Celica - no panel on it was straight, it had a 20 buck stereo and speakers in it and a 100 dollar steering wheel. It was for me to leave at railway stations etc. Sure enough, Richmond railway station and it got ripped off. Found it with the stereo and wheel gone. Replaced the locks and ignition plus wheel (factory one this time) and two weeks later it was gone again - even though I'd parked next to more expensive cars. There's no explaining it

Maybe they were scared off the security features on the other more expensive cars, and because they already knew how to break into yours thought....haha sucked in, we'll get him again..

It is amazing what people do and don't steal though. I don't risk parking my car on the street for longer than 10 minutes usually. My friend asked me whether I'd be needing a 2nd car soon, but I'm ok as long as I'm working here I get security parking. If I ever changed then, I would need a 2nd car.
