I have seen a mitsu VR4 race a regular Camaro, and the Camaro got its ass kicked mainly becasue when the started the camaro driver did a killer burnout, while the VR4 made a quite chirp of the wheels and was gone. It really comes down to the individual drivers in this case, in the race i witnessed the VR4 driver had a good feel for his car. while the camaros driver thought for some reason that a burnout would make a difference, yeah as he found out...it makes you lose instead. if i had money on the race i would lay it down on the VR4, better handling, and equal performance.
Peace....

There is such a simple answer to your question. The VR4. Now if you want the parameters or reasoning going into that decision. That would take a little longer. But, hands down. No contest. Not even close. The VR4 is the superior vehicle.

I actually did see a VR4 and an 69 SS race yesterday. The SS killed it. But like YogsVR4 said, it is superior. lol ANd it did put up a good fight. I just wish I had my GT-R there. lol The SS and VR4 would have seen four round tail lights for about a sec and I would have been gone. lol Life is good.

well lets see... i know alot about the camaro... and the easy mods that can be done, and dollar for dollar, for what is a less expensive car... the camaro would take it...
if you spent even amts of cash on each car, they would start to distance themselves... and dont think a camaro cant corner...
and on 60'times... i have a friend w/ an 11sec mustang on slicks that pulls down 1.6s... and he has 4.10 gears, so he spins the shit outta those things... so i think a camaro can be worked to a good time there... just one question... why is the 3gt "superior".... no reasons usually means you are biased...

its funny that this is a topic here though, b/c about two yrs ago, on an industrial pkwy, some kid in a 3gt took on a camaro, and the 3gt had some roadracing tires on it, and when they took a turn at about 80, the camaro (stock, with three 17 yr olds in it) took on a tree and lost. all three kids died.
the owner of the 3gt was arrested for some bullshit charge, but he has been known to race there b/c of the turn and his susp mods... the camaro kid saved the cash, and bought the car himself, and it was something like the second day he had the car... shitty if you ask me...
