Iīm not sure about that but I donīt think so! But Iīm sure that just a new intake wonīt raise your topspeed.( maybe 1km/h or so) The gains are too low for that. However, 228km/h are enough for me! And acceleration is already nice in mid rpm range.

228 are enuff :frog:

if I try to drive more than 180- bump the limiter limits but 180 are enough for me- under normal circumstances:bandit:

You got the same top speed as my hatch. But the thing is, I reach my top speed in 4th gear (180kmp), if I shift up, my car looses the top speed and drops the 160kmp

I got the D14A3

Nah if I drive in the 4th i reach about 200 (hehe the limiter doesnt stop me- what senseless thing). I dunno how fast the car would travel wo the limiter but i would say about 210-215. My friend has a d14a7 and he doesnt lose any power when he shifts up to the 5th- he reaches about 195 then.

I thought the difference between d14a7 /a3 is very small but it doesnt seem so (or my friend is telling me BS- but i dont think so).

My problem is that if I drive with 175 in the 5th and a small hill comes i cannot hold my speed and have to shift down- I think the limiter makes no sens because u cant use the 5th gear

It could be my car is a bit faster, the guys at the Honda dealer told me my tires were to wide for my car for reaching the top speed. Don't know if this is BS or not...

I thought it is d14a7- ill look for this! Yeah it is a 139?ccm 90hp (without changing anything) SOHC PGM-FI engine used on the 96-?? Civic 5- door (Im not sure about hatch but i think it was only used on the 5 door version).

No I think this isnt BS- I've heard that too!

Ill check that engine type!

No, heīs not BSing you! Actually he knows what heīs doing! Itīs good possible that you canīt reach topspeed because of wider and/or more heavier rims/tires. I once called DC-Sports of germany for a set of 17" Tenzo-R rims and the guy told me that I should get them in 18" because they would look better and because they would be more lightweight than the ones in 17"! Okay, 18" would really look better but itīs total BS that an 18" rim can be more lightweight than the same in 17" while both have been produced with the same method and the same material. He also told me that both wouldnīt affect topspeed or acceleration.

If youīre driving through really deep water it wouldnīt matter anyways if youīve got the resonator on it or not IMO. Iīd guess everything will be fine as long as you donīt drive through deep water and that shouldnīt be too difficult!
