Anybody heard of Bafta

Ill just build the sky and not have to meet any reg's at all.
r34 gt-s 2.5 + gtr engine will do fine to meet the kit car policy. As stated in customs section 3520-1 http://www.epa.gov/otaq/imports/kitcar.htm
But thats for the U.S only~

Re: Anybody heard of Bafta

Has anyone imported through Batfa? I wonder if they are credible...? Not bad prices... I think to legalize would cost $12,000 from MOTOREX?

You might want to re-read items 3, 4, and 5 or get a clarification from an attorney...

based on the way I read it, what you're planning to do is still illegal and can not be classified as a kit car...

Yeah, paragraph 5 is what says that a manufactured car cannot be disassembled and imported as a kit car. So, if you do that and the EPA/DOT or Customs catches you, it's illegal and the car will be confiscated/fines issued/etc. etc.

More dead-ends on how to bypass Motorex.

So has anyone here bought from Batfa?

I paid them in full via (tt)wire transfer on march 10th for an integra, now its more than 2 months later, and the car is still there...i called several times, they said it has been delayed. first i was told the 4th of april, then the 29th, now it is still there..

plus they don't answer emails any more

This is exactly what I'm afraid of doing. Sending all my money over there and not even being sure if the business is legit!

9D3RST I hope you get your car soon man, it's really dissapointing to hear shit like this happening! I would be worried if it has been more than 3 months and you still haven't received any notification from them about your cars status. I know you said they aren't answering any more e-mails (In fact I have sent them e-mails about 3 months ago and they never bothered to reply) but are they taking phone calls? If they are call them as often as you can and try to get some info. I wish you the best of luck man!

I know 9D3RST car is an Integra but I believe that the best way of finding a SKyline would simply be through Motorex. I know many of you have found great deals in many other sites, and think that Motorex is too expensive, but unless you are 100% sure these other sites are legit you shouldn't risk losing thousands of dollars on such transactions.

Well if u have the money then the only real 100% safe way is to go through motorex.

yeah, no replies to emails anymore. however they do answer the phone usually, thats my only communication with them right now. i call and ask about the status of my car, i give the car #, and i have been told it has been delayed. now their shipping schedule is not updated once again (before i bought the car from them it was down at least a month)

Is there anyone living near Tokyo on these boards that could maybe check them out? to reassure me that they are in fact legit..people on here and other sites have recommended Batfa, but now i am skeptical.

Bah I remember someone on here said Batfa was selling Skylines. Seems that they are more full of shit than anything else. On another forums I attened that name came up also and some guy is still fighting to get his $80k back for the R34 GTR he supposedly bought from them.

why would you spend $80k and buy a skyline from them, when you can spend $50k or less and have a legalized one through MotoRex?

maybe this is how Japanese bussinesses operate, they don't go one step outta their way to notify a customer that there car has been delayed on being shipped out.

I found a message on some complaint board, some guy in NZ bought a car from them, but they sent him the base model of the car (not what he paid for) and the car was damaged. that is the only negative stuff i have heard about Batfa Japan Inc.

see, I don't necessarly believe they are fraudulant...this is the only complaint I can find against them, this may just be an isolated incident really..i can't say at this point.

what i'm going to do is just give this transaction a little more time (until their shipping schedule is updated) then I will call again and inquire about the integra i purchased, hopefully it will actually go out the 3rd scheduled time and i will have a bill of lading & other documents soon after.
