Re: Lurk lurl lurkers...

Sprout, 85 sedan, 158,000 miles, light blue, good shape, I got a weber carb, enging bay cleared of all unneccisarys, battery in trunck, dropped the front about an inch with the adjusment bolt, cut one coil off each spring in back good for about an inch and a half, stripped everything behind the front seats, recent head job. 14'' wheels and fatty tires that don't stick out, I plan to rebuild the bottom end, looking for a weber intake, and want to add a header to the exhaust since that catilitic converter does not look flow friendly. she feels quit a bit quicker than when I bought her but at 4th gear the power is defenatly getting flat. When all is said and done a little nos squize would be fun just so I could embarass a few hot heads.

Re: Lurk lurl lurkers...

nos is a good way to go....its very fun but it is also becomes a very scary ride..(you can actually here the engine components work.......thats bad...)my good ol engine has about 225,000 miles it has a webber..coustom made stright pipe and exaust... had a headder but i hit a pot hole and it went stright to the trash...(i'll get another one made...)
i have a nitrous express kit....(witch i will sell..... or i will lose my car.....)i manneged to hook it up by sandwitching 2 webber spacers...drilling and threddinga hole screwing in the nozzele, fine tunning the carb and presto!!!with a 75hp shot i had set up for my X blown engine (it was a hybrid LS bottom block and a del sol twin cam v-tech....dont let me get started on that or i'll cry..........)the car runs awsome...you will pass 4th gear like nothing....but its best to respect your elderly engines....or they will go boom....

Re: Lurk lurl lurkers...

yeah, it was kinda fun to take home but it barely driveable. the clutch was so worn out that half way home i got so fed up that i pulled over and adjusted it all the way down, and it still grabbed late! and the brakes really sucked too. right now it looks like this (but without the engine)
